Yes and no. I think that God, along the way, came up with new ideas and added on to his creations as the years went by.

To some extent, yes. I believe humans and animals have changed over the 6,000 years since God created us.

A) I am not Christian. I did not answer because I did not want to skew your data.

B) Evolution and the Bible are completely compatible with each other. The only incompatibilities that exist are created by human interpretation.

C) Before you denounce anything as wrong or bad, educate yourself on the matter before you make any rash decisions. If all you know is what you've been told by people who think exactly like you, then you are not fully informed on any issue.

D) I apologize but the phrase "i think evolution is the most dumbest theory ever" made me LOL.

Not necessarily. If it did/does exist, God made it happen. But I'm kind of skeptical on it in general. We had a guest speaker not too long ago, and evolution was the topic. He said the main reason he doesn't believe in it is because the world isn't getting better. Why? Sin. If there was evolution, humans wouldn't have so much sin in their nature. I'm not saying I'm 100% on the same page as him or anything, but it does make sense IMO.

Also, I do agree with SouthParkSmart and alisonfaith297. I definitely think humans have changed over time, but I think of that more as adaptation than evolution.

Just saying though, sin could help a species on a scientific level.

Like polygamy, adultery, and sex before marriage, all of that helps the population of humans grow, which is helpful to us as a species, but obviously goes against the bible.

(Just a thought from a friendly Atheist!)

Omgoodness... I honestly can't believe the results as a Catholic here!! I believe that Adam and Eve was a metaphorical story (Conservative Catholic), Jesus then came and said that we still need the Bible to learn from, but some of it can be misleading. I believe that God created the Big Bang and set our world into motion. I also believe that evolution is completely true - but I understand that science is only as good as we are and it doesn't know everything.

Ugh, I'm learning evolution in biology. I just want to share my points that disprove, although i know it wont change anything.

One of the laws of thermodynamics says that matter cannot be created or destroyed natrually. So how did things just form from nothing?

It is a law of nature that an organism cannot produce something greater than itself.

According to science, everything comes into being from "birth." So basically the first human would've been a baby. How would a human baby, or any infant creature in that sense, have been able to care for itself?

How come only certain species "evolved?" Why didn't insects, fish, etc. evolve into something bigger, better, etc?

My biology teacher makes me so mad. He basically mocks everyone during these lessons. XP

IDK! I'm Catholic and in our school we are taught evolution but I think if Evolution is true that God created it. You do realize that stories before Abraham could very well be fictional? there was no written records until the babylonian exile of the Bible I did a report on it.

"How come only certain species "evolved?" Why didn't insects, fish, etc. evolve into something bigger, better, etc?"
- Uh... they have. Insects are hardcore evolvers. So are fish. Millions of creatures and plants have evolved to fit their environments better. Evolution doesn't mean that things get "better" from what they were before, but that they adapt to the situations that they find themselves in better. For example, many species of fish can change their sex if there are not enough of one sex in the area they live in. So if there are no female fish left in the river, a male fish can become a female fish, thus allowing the species to continue to reproduce and survive. That is an evolved adaptation to ensure survival of the species.
On the other hand, many reptile species have remained unchanged for millions of years because they have not needed any dramatic changes to occur in order for them to survive. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That isn't to say that they are "perfect" species, just that they haven't need to change much in order to survive.

Also, evolution doesn't mean that things will evolve to become "bigger." A creature may need to downsize itself in order to survive. The key is that creatures and plants etc need to adapt to changing environments in order to better survive.

In terms of your question about "birth", I think you have taken the word "birth" too literally... I would suggest that your teacher is teaching you about forces and flux, rather than suggesting that scientists think the first human was a baby floating in space.

TOTALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

People...this might be hard for you now :-)...but Genesis is NOT a historical recording of HOW IT REALLY HAPPENED but a myth to explain what couldn't be found out the scientific way

It is a beautiful story... full of meaning and totally worth reading...but it remains a story written in exile to lighten up the mood of the jews...because they needed a myth that could compete with the babylonian myths

I honestly think evolution is really stupid. And its been disproved ALOT. And the idiot that made it up, even said it was stupid and he died a christian. Evolution doesn't make any sense to me at all either. I think its pretty stupid. Just research some things and yeah. But anyways, I don't believe people that weren't even there over God who was there and knows everything.

I picked yes because most of Genesis is fictional. If you dont agree with me then i suggest you do some research. There was no writing in that time and the first writings about Jewish history wasn't written until the Babylonian Exile. Also, Adam means father and Eva means mother, Jewish writers had to come up with a creation story so that the people would believe in it. Now, could the creation story be real? Yes! Could it be fictional? Yes! So I am not entirely sure :)

In principles I believe in Micro evolution because it makes sense that certain classes (not using the real term of class) may change in look to adapt. Dogs may be white in some places or black in others, pelicans recently can eat small birds because of a lack of fish, and bugs change all the time. However I said no because I reject other principles of evolution like macro evolution.

Now what I don't believe is when it comes to Macro evolution because cross-spies is something I don't think has enough proof for me to believe in it. I don't understand how we can start off as bacteria then later human, but can't go backwards. A dog you can breed them to be tall, short, have long tails, have short tails, have thicker coats, have thinner coats, and have minor changes in facial features but you can't change a dog into a cat or to a reptile.

Even now, there is lots of cases of micro evolution but macro evolution isn't seen on any level so far, it all boils back to a bug changing certain parts to help the same bug stay alive, and things of that nature.

link
even if evolution is happening now, its always within a general class of animal, lizards, dogs, elephants, bears, but noting about any other them crossing over.

Okay, another Rainshadow complicated speech, lol.

God created the Universe.
Humans created The Bible.
Most of The Bible is true.
Adam and Eve ARE real.

Adam and Eve were humans? They weren't created by God, there was a God and they did abide his rules, and yet they were the first humans. They were thought to be the first humans but they really aren't, they did exist though. Adam and Eve were the first recorder or known humans.
Like I say "The Bible is really screwed up", yes I do say that.

Humans made the bible, there were a few mistakes, Adam and Eve existed but weren't the first humans but the first know humans.

I hope this isn't too complicated.

Why would God hate someone for believing what is rational? Why would he allow his children to be misled by the mountains and mountains of evidence that supports evolution? There are fossils in the ground, proofs in our DNA, indisputable biochemical confirmations, a million other pieces of evidence. They all point towards evolution. Are we to be penalised for accepting science?
