Cameron opened her door and stepped inside. After a long 日 of dress shopping, she was exhausted and needed a nice cup of tea. As Cameron took out a cup and began filling it up with hot water, she looked at the clock. It was 7:30 pm; Chase should get off his shift soon. Cameron smiled and put the お茶, 紅茶 bag in the cup.
    When the お茶, 紅茶 was ready, Cameron walked to her ソファー, ソファ and sat down. She turned to TV on to the news and watched it, bored. She looked at the clock again; it was 7:45 pm. Where was Chase? Finally, she heard the familiar click of the lock and the door open. She set her cup down and greeted Chase.
    Chase smiled wearily at her and gave her a small キッス on the lips. He took off his ジャケット and shoes and bag and walked to the kitchen.
    “How was work?” Cameron cheerfully asked, grabbing her お茶, 紅茶 and following him to the kitchen. She sat down and took a sip of the tea. It tasted bittersweet.
    Chase sighed and replied, “Long,” He took chips out from the pantry and sat opposite from her. There was silence as Chase ate and Cameron sipped her tea. “Did あなた find a dress?” He asked. Cameron’s face lit up.
    “Yes!” She exclaimed, smiling, “It’s white and beautiful. You’ll 愛 it,” Chase smiled at her.
    “I’m happy you’re happy,” Chase said, and leaned over the 表, テーブル to キッス her. They kissed, and Cameron ran a hand through his hair. They separated, and Cameron finished her お茶, 紅茶 and Chase finished his chips.
    Cameron put her cup in the sink, and Chase put the chips back in the pantry. Chase lay down on the couch, and Cameron lay 次 to him. They watched TV in silence for a couple of minutes. Bored, Cameron turned the TV off and she sat up.
    “Something is wrong; what’s wrong?” she asked, holding Chase’s hand. Chase sighed and looked at her.
    “There was a man whom I did surgery on, and then after the surgery he died. The man’s doctors assumed the man died because of his diabetes, but I just know it was me. I feel terrible,” Chase finished, looking at the ceiling.
    “Chase, you’re going to lose some patients; あなた can’t save them all,” Cameron whispered, giving his hand a squeeze. She smiled weakly at him. Chase smiled back, a bit もっと見る cheerful than before. He sat up and put an arm around Cameron. She snuggled against him, and Chase turned the TV back on to the news.
    “Do あなた really want to watch this?” He asked, and Cameron giggled and shook her head.
    “Not really,” she replied, so Chase turned the TV off and kissed Cameron. They walked to their bedroom and shut the door.
    Cameron and Chase rolled around on the bed, キス passionately. They stripped each other and Chase kissed Cameron while Cameron caressed his back. . .

They were off to the races . . .

    Afterwards, Cameron was snuggled up against Chase. Chase was asleep and he held Cameron, snoring softly. Cameron watched him. His soft blond hair fell against his cute face. Cameron found it so sweet that Chase felt terrible for a death he didn’t directly cause where as House wouldn’t have 与えられた it a 秒 thought. House. . . The damaged man she had loved, now she had gotten over him. He was just another doctor that she talked to when she could, and never gave much thought to him.
    She loved Chase now, and they were getting married in a couple of months. Cameron smiled and placed her head on Chase’s chest. She listened to his beating ハート, 心 and hoped the night would never end; she would always be in Chase’s loving embrace forever.
