If your going for who is a better Slayer physically I would have to say Buffy. She is one of the strongest slayers there ever was, and you can see her fighting skills, and she has to be good to survive as long as she has.

If your going for who's better at accepting it, I would have to say Faith. Faith accepted the slayer as a part of herself, she accepted every aspect of it. Buffy denied that part of herself for most of her stint as the slayer, she didn't want to accept it.

well faith may have accepted it but wasn't that one of the reason why buffy it for so long and why she is who she is in the comics? she has friends and doesn't just laybel her self as 'the slayer' that's why she's so great

even though she's not one of my fave characters you can't deny that's what makes her great, that's why joss wrote her like that compared to slayer obsessed slayer like faith and kendra

True. Spike does tell her that one of the reasons she's lasted so long is because she has her friends and family. They keep her alive, keep her grounded, keep her away from the 'death wish' that all the other slayers devolep.

I think that sure Faith is a little crazy, but that is what keeps her alive. Buffy has died several times and Faith hasn't died once, that shows how careful she is when protecting herself.

I think Faith is a better slayer because no one around her can come to harm, she likes to fight alone which is sort of an advantage to the whole "I-don't-want-my-loved-ones-hurt"­; thing. that's what makes her the more suited slayer for the job.

Faith has a drive, and buffy thinks too much about what is going to happen, instead of what is. Faith is more the slaying kind !

Me, I go with both slayers. Buffy is great she is smart and ass kicking like Faith. Faith on the another hand I felt bad for her she made bad choices that she wants to regret not doing ever. But thank god Angel change Faith's life around to become a powerful slayer like Buffy.

Also Buffy did in fact help Faith to change her back but Faith ruined Buffy's life really bad and Buffy was so mad at Faith. She ruined her life with Riley and Angel. Now, Faith is more slayer kind from the help a souless Angel to change her life completely.

Buffy & Faith are hell of Slayers from Buffy the Vampire Slayers that we will never forget.

She has a responsibility to the world and she takes it seriously. I think that makes her the best slayer;)

Buffy is better. Buffy kicks ass. She kicked Faith's ass. When Faith tried to be The Slayer in season 7 finale she almost got everyone killed. Faith was defeated by Angelus, in Angel series. Buffy defeated Angelus. I could go on and on and on....Buffy rules.

Buffy is more of a person, she has more heart, and cares about her family and friends and that helps her as she told Kendra, and plus come on look how long she has lasted and how many lives she has saved and how many undefeatable demons she has defeated plus her physical strength is amazing and her hope and determination,Wow I just love her seriously she is the best slayer past and present!

i like faith almost as much as buffy because she always keeps her cool and she is just so differnt from most of the slayers. and faith didnt face the master. and buffy had to save the world it was her or the world i bet faith would have died too so i dont think u can decide who is a better slayer in this case by using that way

I love Faith/Eliza but i have to say Buffy, because come on its Buffy The Vampire Slayer! lol. Buffy went through so much more than Faith, but obv thats cos Faith wasnt in it for the whole 7 seasons

faith is reckless and she didn't even care when she killed a human being, buffy is smarter, and stronger. she also has a team that backs her up that includes two powerful witches, a 1,000 year old ex-demon, a mini-kid sis who loves her more than anything, a smart and powerful watcher, and a motivational speaker.

Its a tough question, I reckon faith is great cause like many have said, she just accepts her slayerness and even says something like 'if you're not enjoying it, then you're doing something wrong!" and minus the coma thing, she has been pretty damn tough to keep down, it was only herself that was strong enough to keep herself grounded and in prison

Buffy's the best, because she's been doing it longer than Faith. She also beat faith in a fight so that makes her better to handle the job

Faith is good at slaying as in she gets into the momment and loves doing it but of course she wouldn't be very gud if their were friends helping her as she'd forget they were there and not save them lol.
Plus Buff beat her every time even when she was in Faiths body so she just has to be the best she beat caleb on her own an he creamed everyone including faith :D

Faith is the classic primeval slayer. She knows what needs to be done without working with a bunch of friends and concocting some plan, which is how it's supposed to work. Buffy is just too whiny and such a little brat when it comes to being the Chosen one and she most definitely sees it as a burden, when its not. It's a gift, one that should be taken in stride, with respect, and with the instinct, which is what makes such a strong slayer; the only thing that Faith needs is a sense of self preservation which Buffy seems to actually have a lot of.

i think faith is a better slayer cuz she doesnt have friends, family or a life to worry about she focused on the slaying, she accepts it, ok shes not perfect, she made some really shitty choices "going evil and killing people"

but dont forget yeah even though buffy tried to help faith redeem herself and faith messed up buffy's life, buffy gave up on faith and it was angel who showed faith on how to atone and shes more of a complex person, shes the anti hero, faith has to fight alittle bit harder to protect herself from going over the edge..and angel showed her on how to become a better person

Buffy because I believe she used rationality when it came to fighting instead of just jumping in head first. Yes, she made mistakes and in the beginning begrudged her calling but she didn't feed off the kill like faith did. Buffy's first staking showed that. Dead or not - she wept and in the end accepted who and what she was.

Buffy is my hero. Someone I looked up to most of the time. Someone who was with me all this years, and who helpped me with my decissions, without knowing it. Faith is intersting character, very intersting, but it's always going to be Buffy for me.

She always won in the fights, Faith was always trying to steal her bf's (un-succesfully), adn she's by FAR the better person!

Buffy without a doubt. Faith is a total drama queen who loses it, doesn't sound like a great slayer to me. Buffy's the original best Slayer. Hence the title of the show being 'Buffy the vampire slayer' not 'Faith the vampire slayer'.

Buffy. Its an easy question! Buffy has fought the Master, her own evil lover/ boyfriend, evil mayor snake, robo- demon humanoid, a war goddess, 3 stupid but smart nerds, evil Willow, uber- vamps, and the personification of evil itself. And for the friends issue, that Faith is better to not have friends, actually is bad for Faith. Having friends is like having a goal to keep them safe from evil. And Buffy has hot boyfriends. XD

Faith accidentally killing a human and then working for evil, even though she later changed and learned from this, makes Buffy overall a better Slayer because she didn't make these mistakes.
