I loved them both to death, but Harry Potter was my first love, so it gets picked first. Plus, there was more going on in it, a lot more in it period. Longer series. A lot more imagination at work with it.

By a mile. I don't like Twilight. I love Harry Potter to the highest possible extent. They're my all-time favorite book series, ever. So easy choice :)

I do like Harry Potter a lot, but I think that the movies might have made me like them a bit less. In any case I prefer the Twilight series.

I like Twilight but NO CONTEST. Harry Potter is AMAZING. Twilight should not be compared with Harry Potter, it's ridiculous (Twilight fans, please re-read the first few words of this comment - I like Twilight). Harry Potter by a million miles. I agree with Saint_and_Fang

I think the Twilight v HP debate is closer when talking about the films, but there really is no competition when it comes to the books. HP is so imaginative and original.

I've read both, but OMG! So much better! HP is a REALLY good book. And I can't say the same about Twilight.

The Debate just keeps coming huh. Well, I fell in love with Potter at such a young age that it spun me into a new world that I'm in love with to this day, and even though I have read & own, yes own, every Twilight book, It cannot compare. The magic of childhood reading kind of pwns teenage fangirls. Sorry. :))

i love the harry potter books. i am currently re-reading the entire series. yeah, i'm pretty sad, but i don't have much else to do.

To me, Twilight is NOTHING compare to Harry Potter! HP is much more exciting, has a lot more action, and is very creative.
I only like first 2 books of Twilight,not as much as I used to. Eclispe was alright, but boring. And Breaking Dawn...well, I hated it. Period.

hand has been raised, swimchick. There is a problem comparing two series who fall under different genres altogether. The writing styles and quality are miles apart. And I could go on. You cannot debate two things that are so utterly different just because the more recent one has had above average sales when the first was at it's peak.
