This is an attempt to recreate the actual life of a soul reaper before they entered the soul society. This is also my first Bleach fanfic so; please do not be too critical….
Also, while the setting was realistic 1920’s I added the technology of today!
Forward-The life and death of Yumichika Aiyasagawa
The clouds rolled in and covered the sky with their ominous forms. Cold rain fell from the heavens and met the lifeless masses on the ground as the last man fell. This was it. He was sure of it. The end of the brutality and he could finally go ホーム to his beloved.
Spring 1920: Okinawa, Japan. The world had just settled the disputes of world war one and Yumichika Aiyasagawa was returning to his normal school life. After a good シャワー and some hot breakfast, he was off. He felt unusually good this morning and the fresh air was all too pleasant. His horoscope had 発言しました that the 愛 of his life would await him in plain sight and that thought put him in an even better mood.
Upon entering the school, Yuiko came running. Waving and flailing her arms as usual. Yuiko was always so cheerful. Then again, why shouldn’t she be? She was so beautiful. Her golden-brown hair draped over her slender shoulders and her eyes slanted slightly upward. Yumichika was some-what jealous, but kept his emotions in check. After all, Yuiko was the only friend he had at the school and he was grateful for that. Not too many people would befriend a クロス dresser like him.
As the 日 wore on and lunchtime rolled around, Yumichika met Yuiko at her locker as always. “My dad is letting me have a sleep over,” Yuiko 発言しました as she walked down the hall, Yumichika によって her side, “and you’re invited!” Yumichika clutched his 本 to his breast. “Me!?” he questioned. Yuiko just laughed. How long have they known each other? And yet Yumichika was still in shock at her including him. “Yes, you, silly,” she answered shaking her head. Yumichika smiled. That was another good thing that Yumichika loved about Yuiko. She would reach into the depths of hell and pull あなた from your sorrow at any 与えられた moment. “Let’s grab the spot underneath the tree”, Yuiko gestured as she ran toward the チェリー blossom tree. Yumichika silently followed.
“Ahhh, wasn’t that good!” Yuiko exclaimed as she dabbed her mouth with a ruffled napkin, “My dad made it.” Her dad? Where was Yuiko’s mother? Wasn’t the mother supposed to provide the meals for the family? As long as the two were friends, Yuiko had never mentioned her. Not once.
Whether it was family issues または something else, Yumichika did not feel it was his place to ask. But he did anyway.
Her big bright eyes filled over with gloom. “My mother….died when I was born,” she replied sadly. Yumichika laid a hand on her bony shoulder. “I am deeply sorry for digging up that painful memory.” Yuiko looked up until her eyes met his. “It’s okay; don’t beat yourself up over it. I think, as my best friend, あなた deserved to know what was bothering me. I mean, I don’t want any secrets between us kay?” She held out her little finger and Yumichika took it so gently in his. Neither of them knew that the promise they had just made would forever tear them apart.
The night of the sleep over was brisk. Yumichika arrived at the designated destination at 8 pm. He was nervous and didn’t know what to expect of Yuiko’s father. He had heard that he was a WWI survivor. Not knowing the reaction he was about to receive, he rang the doorbell. The house was big with beautifully carved pillars that held the porch roof up; a matching gate was at the beginning of the driveway.
“Yeah, what do あなた want,” the voice boomed behind Yumichika and he jumped. While the gate was beautiful what caught his attention 次 was even もっと見る so. The man in the doorway was tall, muscular, and had the shaved head of an army man; proof that he had seen some action. “Madarame-sama, I’m Yumichika, Yuiko’s friend.” As he introduced himself Yuiko’s father was looking at him, a puzzled look about his face. “Really,” he began as he gave Yumichika another look, “she told me she was inviting a guy over.” Yumichika blushed at these words. That was all too flattering from a very handsome man. “Well, what the hell are あなた just standing there for? Come on in,” Ikkaku 発言しました sternly.
As he entered the house the first thing that Yumichika noticed was the overwhelming spotless living room. As a single father raising a daughter and attending a job at the local mill, how did he find the time to cook and clean? “I have to work late at the mill tonight,” he stated as he pulled on his heavy, black boots and straightened his camouflage tee, “so あなた girls behave yourselves.” Yumichika stood still and nodded, crossing his legs underneath his skirt. “Yes sir!” he replied. And with that Ikkaku was gone.
