Do あなた think that the mini series The Last Enemy somewhat prepared Benedict to play Sherlock?

The reason why I'm asking this is because I just started watching the mini series of The Last Enemy and I'm noticing a few similarities between Stephen and Sherlock. They're both genius's, both have older brother's they dislike, both are uncomfortable in one way または another 芝居 the least bit normal, and they both have the tendency to make あなた somewhat confused because they're talking so fast about super smart stuff that it's sometimes hard to keep up with them.

And I think that since the characters do have some similarities in their personalities that it helped Benedict play Sherlock after playing Stephen because of the few similarities they share. I think this role did help Benedict prepare for Sherlock. It gave him a taste of what's to come in his career and who he'd be playing.
