What kind of sea creature is Remo?

What kind of sea creature is Remo from the バービー in A Mermaid Tale movies? I think he might be some kind of seahorse but I really don't know.

THEY ARE ADORABLE. <3 I 愛 leafy sea dragons, and I 愛 Remo. :} I was delighted to see one as a character...that's a first. ^_^ These guys are related to seahorses, in the same family...they have awesome natural camouflage, eh?

the thing is, if あなた see the blue and purple seahorses at the beginning of MT2, they don't look like Remo at all. thanks :)

Remo is special, like, あなた see, he was stylized as weak nerd who's following Eris everywhere. Those twoseahorses were just ファン (also, Remo's from MT1, where the whole style was different).

Nope, he's a leafy sea dragon...which are related to seahorses. Same family. ;)
