I was really upset, but I understood why he did it.

i didnt hate him, he jast made me sad and ruiened the show for me, dont get me wrong i still loved the other seasons but i really missed him

it definitely didn't make me hate him...if anything it made me love his character even more because it demonstrated how much he loved buffy that he was willing to sacrifice his own happiness for her to have a more fulfilling life. it takes such strength and such courage....as well as such a selfless love for another person- to do what angel did.

but because it's tv and not reality....it made me mad because that meant i wasn't going to have entertaining buffy & angel scenes every week and i would barely get to see the couple i love so much interact anymore.

I could never hate angel, his sacrificed so much, his love, his life countlessly and selflessly. I do hate the fact that the networks felt the only way they could give angel his *own* wings was by splitting up the two completely. That breaks my heart.

There were so many other options they could have atoned to yet we got the latter. I missed watching them onscreen together and I missed their story dearly even if it was a consistent freight throughout the shows.

It made me mad for awhile but i can understand why he left buffy and sunnydale, their relationship wasnt going anywhere and he needed to move on and let buffy live her life without him hovering over her...plus he did ok in L.A

I understood why he did it, but that does not mean I like it at all!

Who could hate such a charming creature of the night kinda guy?

No not mad maybe a little sad a first but i think he did the right thing by Buffy and i loved watching the Angel spin off.

I do love Angel and it hurts to see him leave Buffy like that

I understood his reasons, both in story and the reasons in reality. I just wish they'd have hinted at a Bangel reunion right at the end.
