itsastart I think some of the expectations by fans to see Guinevere in a bad light goes back to their exposure to the legends. Most of us americans are only familiar with the French version, and sadly I would say the television musical version. In this version of the legends Guinevere is portrayed as a Jezebel type character. Arthur loves her with all his heart, yet she betrays him in every sense of the word. I was not aware of the various versions of the legends until this show and this Arwen site enlightened me. I can see where those who are less educated on or less exposed to the Arthurian legends may have a slanted view or expectation of Guinevere. Hopefully our Guinevere will reveal the honorable, loved, and strong Guinevere that is depicted in the early legends. The Guinevere that stood by her king and was loved by her people.

EPaws Both views cited above are correct but there is another side yet.... Something far more dangerous in the psyche of said same young female haters cause they are female. Slipping the race and comfort zone need to self insert/myopic tendencies to only be empathetic with a female that looks akin to self issue for a minute, the really incredibly sad bit is have we become so warped in our society that we favour, show preference for a psychotic display to that of a really strong individual? To put it another way: Have we degenerated to the point where we do not recognize what it is to strive to be a representative of what it is to be a worthwhile human being? If so, how sad, for those who do not know the difference. Not a reflection of the characterization of Guinevere Pendragon, a reflection on the audience. Very sad, for them.

MISAforever those who do so do not deserve any attention.. just pity.
