link “Ssshhh, Merlin! Guinevere is probably sleeping,” Arthur whispers loudly as he stumbles through the door, Merlin at his elbow.
“Yes, Sire,” Merlin says dutifully, not commenting on the fact that Arthur is the one making all the noise and that he has been quiet as a mouse.
Merlin closes the door silently and helps Arthur undress.
He’s not that far gone, but gone enough, Merlin observes, noting the king is still able to bend and remove his boots without tipping over.
