Probably 99% of アニメ fantards (such as myself) have heard someone call アニメ "a cartoon."
Whenever I hear this, I explode with reasons the two could not possibly be any different!
Here is the 一覧 of reasons I have in case anyone else runs into this argument によって chance:
1. アニメ is from Japan, and ONLY Japan... カートゥーン are dumped here from everywhere else.
2. アニメ is for all ages; カートゥーン are either for practically four 年 olds または forty 年 olds, with nothing decent inbetween.
3. アニメ MAKES PEOPLE CRY. DO あなた KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS CRIED BECAUSE OF ADVENTURE TIME?! NO, あなた DON'T.
