I walked down the dimly lit hallway, the torch light glinting off my armour as it clanked softly. The door to the my quarters stood slightly ajar, and its guard dozing against the wall.
I cleared my throat and the guard came awake with a start.
"My Lord, I apologize it will nev-"
I waved a hand cutting him off, "I do not care for your ineptness, but I will let it go this time. See that it does not happen again."
"Yes, my Lord."
I walked through the door to the my quarters, wondering who had drugged the guard. The smell coming off his breath was a the smell of a small plant that grows around here....
