It seemed like it had been years since Alice had gotten a letter from Jasper. She went about her life, helping out in the diner, going to school, and putting on a smile, but still no letter came.
"Alice, what's the matter with あなた these days?" her friend Carla asked her as they walked ホーム from school one day.
"What do あなた mean? Nothing's wrong." Alice told her, smiling. I miss Jasper. She thought sadly.
"It's like you're in your own world. あなた don't talk anymore. あなた never want to do anything anymore, あなた haven't slept over in a week! Are あなた sure you're okay?" Carla asked again, putting her hand on Alice's shoulder.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I promise!" Alice insisted. "Tell あなた what, how about we have a sleepover at my house tonight? Go ホーム and ask your mom, and I'll ask mine. Met at the diner, cause I have to work for a little while, okay?" She knew that she was moping, and that it was stupid. He's just busy. Alice told her self. He'll write soon.
Carla nodded eagerly, and ran off in the opposite direction of the diner. Alice walked ホーム at a slower pace, forcing herself to stay calm, and not to hope for a letter. But, it's been two weeks. Surely, he's found time to write によって now...
Her mother tossed Alice her エプロン as soon as she came back down stairs from changing out of her school clothes and putting her 本 upstairs. She was now wearing a knee length, pale blue サンドレス, サンデンス that matched her eyes. As she tied on the apron, she asked her mom about Carla staying over.
"That's fine, as long as あなた two actually sleep this time. No talking all night." Mrs. Brandon 発言しました sternly. "Now, there are a lot of people here today. Hop to."
