Alexis: (about her driving) I get pulled over sometimes, because I know all the rules, but I forget them, and sometimes I'm in a hurry.....so one time, I got pulled over, and the cop, I actually thought I was being Punk'd, because the cop was yelling at me. I mean, I've been pulled over before, so I know how it goes, but this guy, he was yelling in my face, and I was like, "What did I do? I didn't do anything!" and he just kept yelling, and I was looking for the camera, and I couldn't find it, so it just made my situation much worse. I cut him off, apparently, but I didn't see him coming. It was bad, so don't do what I did!
Alexis: I am a terrible driver, just... I'm actually not proud of this. It's actually shameful. People give me looks of shame everywhere I go, like, "Do あなた really drive like that?" I'm just very impatient, and if it doesn't end in a collision, the funniest thing that happens is when people kind of yell at you, because you've angered them, but their window is up, so あなた can't hear what they're saying, so they're just driving forward, and that's very funny to see.
Alexis: (about being typecast) I don't know how much it's possible to completely get away from it. I'm looking フォワード, 前進, 楽しみにして to playing different characters and seeing how far I can stretch, but I don't know that it's a good idea to do something just because it's different. I'm もっと見る concerned that the projects I'm involved with are strong material.
Alexis: I don't read a lot of ファン mail. Most of it is very strange.
Alexis: (about playing Rory Gilmore) I was certainly lucky to play a teenage character that was so academic and intelligent and unique from a lot of other characters on television, as far as teenagers go, but I'll be happy to play adult roles. But if I don't get to play characters as unique as Rory is, then I'd miss that.
Alexis: (about Logan and Rory's breakup in "Gilmore Girls") I guess it's not what people might have expected as far as their relationship has gone, but it's something that happens to a lot of people when they graduate from school and go off to start their lives elsewhere. I think it's a make-or-break time for a lot of relationships. I felt pretty strongly that I wanted my character to finish up somewhere that we would have liked to see her finish when the whole story started, because she was so driven academically, and I wanted to return to that in some way. She did get pretty caught up in the relationship — in her relationships with guys in general, not that that's a bad thing — but it all seemed to end on a strong note. She made a choice that was very true to herself.
Alexis: (on photoshoot)[You] do these stupid movements to make the dress look cute. Everyone's standing around watching. あなた just feel ridiculous sometimes. I don't like being the center of attention!
Alexis: (When asked if she ever thought about going to Yale like her character on "Gilmore Girls") No, the only way I ever would have gotten into Yale was fictionally. The show's exterior shots were all stock footage of the campus. We never did any filming there. But I found it very flattering when Yale invited me to visit. And I got a lot of ファン mail from alumni.
Alexis: When I was a kid I went to get a hair cut and the ladies were speaking behind me in Spanish. The lady cutting my hair said, 'Oh, I just took a big chunk out of her hair and the other lady said, 'Just tuck it in there, she'll never notice.' I was seven-years-old and my eyes were bugging out of my head. So she didn't get a tip.
Alexis: Most people don't realize that I speak Spanish, because I look very...white.
Alexis: (About her education career) I did one 年 at NYU, and I'd 愛 to go back there someday.
Alexis: Every 日 I learn something. Sometimes it's difficult. Especially when I have to do something that I don't normally do. Of course that's just acting.
Alexis: Sometimes I feel like I am an old person trapped in a young person's body. I'm boring. I go to movies. I read. That's about it.
Alexis: (On getting recognized によって fans) It always happens in places where you'd rather not be recognized. Like one time, I was just getting ready to go to bed, but I had this craving for a glass of milk. So I go to the supermarket, and I have like no makeup on, and this couple comes up to me and they're like 'Thursday night!'. They sort of yelled it across the vegetable bin, and I'm like, 'Okay, don't look at me, I look awful. I'm going over here によって the セロリ now.'
Alexis: I can't even picture my life without Gilmore Girls.
Alexis: 愛 is not the way it is in the movies, and it's not some idealistic, huge, fantastic thing...It's very real and personal and not what we're taught in society at all.
Alexis: Before I got Gilmore Girls, I was modeling. I went in for a call and was told, 'Sweetie, あなた need to lose two inches off those hips.' I was 14. So I just replied, 'I have もっと見る jobs than I can do. I'm in high school. I can't go to all the trouble of losing the two inches, so I'll pass.' Someone might tell あなた to lose weight, but あなた can say no.
Alexis: A lot of girls ask for アドバイス on how to get into acting, and I'm kind of the worst person to ask, because it just kind of fell in my lap... I was just in the right place at the right time.
Alexis: I still see myself as a big dork... I'm really shy and I need to work on my confidence. I'm growing up and I like who I'm turning into, but there's always room to grow.
Alexis: Well, I remember it was 5 in the morning. I'm leaving my house to go to the set of Gilmore Girls. I'm really tired and just when I walk outside, a bus slowly goes down the 通り, ストリート with my face on the side of it as Rory Gilmore. I thought, 'Ewwww.' It's so early. I just can't stand seeing me.
Alexis: (On winning the role of Rory on Gilmore Girls) It was very unexpected. I was nervous and didn't know what I was doing. It just happened to work out.
Alexis: (On her relationship with former Gilmore Girls co-star Milo Ventimiglia) It's your stuff, and if あなた share things that are too personal with a magazine または with your public, it's sort of like it's not really yours anymore, it's shared information and it's not special to あなた anymore. I don't like that. I think people with personalities who like to talk about what's going on in their lives, they'll talk without really knowing how it's going to come back and bite them, and generally, it does. And luckily, I have the kind of personality where I am extremely private. I don't really like to tell everyone my business. I'd much rather people wonder または not know.
