I watch this city burn
These dreams like ashes float away
Your voice I never heard
Only silence...

She struggled to her feet, only to find herself collapsing to the ground once more, toppled によって the crippling smoke surrounding her. The overpowering smell of smoldering life filled her nostrils, wafting up in waves as her eyes darted over the flaming ruins of her city. Ashes drifted through the air, blurring her vision and latching to her skin with searing bursts of pain. Her head swimming, she cried out. For someone, anyone. Him. But there was only silence, silence along the burnt horizon.

Where were あなた when our hearts were bleeding?
Where were you? It all crashed down...

She struggled to keep her eyes open, only to find them slipping shut, welcoming the cool darkness that came when they were closed. The 苦い taste of blood burned the roof of her mouth, seeping through the cuts in her weakened body. She was growing dizzy, flashing dots appearing in her vision even when her eyes were closed; she was getting fainter によって the second. She screeched in pain as her body convulsed; she knew it was beginning to give up, but she wasn’t sure if she was ready. Despite the harsh reality she knew to be true, she wanted him to be there. But there was only emptiness, emptiness around the burnt horizon.

I never thought that you'd deceive me
Where are あなた now?

She struggled to keep the blind illusion that he would come, only to find it fading quickly with each shaky breath. The throbbing ache of his betrayal ate away at her body, blending with the flames that licked at her skin. Her body was growing numb, the blackness descending. She gave a tiny whimper, followed によって a rattling cough that sprayed blood like crimson sparks in all directions. The pain intensified, and with it the 苦い realization that it was his fault. His fault the city was in flames, his fault she was slowly bleeding out on the ground, his fault she would die alone. She wanted to forgive him, but there was only hurt, hurt against the burnt horizon.

I watch this city burn
These passions slowly smoldering
A lesson never learned
Only violence...

She struggled to stay alive, only to find herself slowly growing cold, the darkness slowly setting in. As she numbly awaited death, the passion she had felt for him began to decay. He never knew when to control. Never knew how to prevent the problems that couldn’t be fixed. And this was the result. This is it, she told herself, the words forming on the whisper of her breath. This is where forever dies. This is where we burn. She wanted to reach out, hold onto someone, anyone. But there was no one there; only flames, flames above the burnt horizon.

Is your world just a broken promise?
Is your 愛 just a drop of rain?
Will we all just burn like fire
Are あなた still there? Tell me now...

She struggled to cry out, only to find herself slowly losing breath. She knew she was dying, and there was no dodging that now. Through her blurring vision, she saw a hand, pale and shaking. In one last desperate burst of strength, she lunged for it, only to feel her bloodstained fingers slipping through like a ghost. Was he just a mirage, a fleeting image? または was he really there, and she already gone? She wanted to キッス his lips one last time, but they weren’t there. Only darkness, darkness across the burnt horizon.

How long can あなた stand the pain?
How long, how long will あなた hide your face?
How long, how long will あなた be afraid?
Are あなた afraid?

She struggled to forget her pain, only to find it reopening the wounds that had so recently closed. Along with the numbness came the blinding white light, brighter than any flame. Regret churned through her body, leaving a cold, hard emptiness. A void that could not be filled. She knew he would be hiding. Hiding from their friends, from their mentors, from himself. If only she could speak to him again, tell him he could still be redeemed, as painful as it might be. If only she could rekindle the 火災, 火 that had started it all, but transform it, fill him with the resolve to right his wrongs. But they could not be fixed because she was gone, leaving blinding whiteness, whiteness beyond the burnt horizon.

How long will あなた play this game?
How long will あなた fight または will あなた walk away?
How long, how long will あなた let it burn?
Let it burn, let it burn...

Let it burn...
