What do あなた think about Robert Downey Jr. as Lestat?

i read in some artical that Universal studios might be planing on making the vampire chronicles as a movie series and they 発言しました that Robert Downey Jr. is in talks of playing him.
so your opinons

He's not Lestat, he couldn't be Lestat, for starters hes too old, he's in his 40s, people criticise Cruise, saying he was too old. He doesn't look like Lestat, and I've only seen him in iron man, and he was ok in that but as Lestat, never.

When I say too long, I mean the series, viewers, unless are die-hard riceans, would loose interest.

Sure middle-age men can be childlike in personality and all that stuff but this is Lestat de Lioncourt we're talking and he's special! :D

The Brat Prince is 21 in mortal years, eternal teenager inside (plus very childlike) and that's what he should look like.

yea i know they can never really get lestat completly right if heath ledger was still alive i think he would have done a great job, but he's not so i think charlie hunnam would do a great job

Ah, Heath Ledger, sure as hell would have made an awesome Lestat. I haven't seen Charlie Hunnam act, so I can not コメント on him.

It was in the コメント after my answer, the link, and I agree completely with you. I 発言しました something alongthe same lines in the Lestat フォーラ in the Lestat spot. If anyone wants to discuss this whole thing futher then please go there =D

He's suppose to be blond with blue eyes, isnt he? Robert Downey Jr. is very dark in hair, skin and eye color!
Lestat at the time of his human death was young and fit enough to kill a pack of wolves! Mr. Downey doesn't have that kind of physical vigor.

I think we're focusing too much on his looks, although, the youth is important to his character, and for him to be beautiful. But I haven't see RDJ in a role which for me proves he has the potential to portray a truthful Lestat, and that's what's truly important to me, is for the character to be right, and I just can't picture RDJ being Lestat.
