There are two types of people in the world - those who don't 愛 horror, and me. I don't need to clarify for anyone here that I'm a horror fanatic as if あなた visited this club または my プロフィール ever, you'd know how much I 愛 the genre. It is my お気に入り genre, no contest and it has been since I was 8 years old. Maybe even before that, but that's the age I remember becoming obsessed. So in all those years, I have seen a LOT of horror 映画 and I have also had many years to collect them.
Jigsaw is an American horror film directed によって Michael and Peter Spierig and starring Tobin Bell, Laura Vandervoort, Matt Passmore, Callum Keith Rennie, Clé Bennett, and Hannah Emily Anderson. It is the eighth installment in the Saw franchise, picking up over a decade after the death of the eponymous Jigsaw killer during the police investigation of a new succession of murders that fit his modus operandi.
This review will contain NO spoilers for Jigsaw but might for Saw 1-7.
Please keep in mind that this is merely my opinion, and this will be almost strictly horror. あなた could say "What's ハロウィン without Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown?" and that's fine but also cliched and not horror. This is not a 一覧 of my お気に入り horror 映画 によって any means either, just a 一覧 of great ones I think are fun to watch at ハロウィン time and give me that sense of Horrorween (my new お気に入り word btw). I have also included some horror テレビ in here as well just for the short attention span people (aka me).

It's important to note that while this could be seen as a remake of the 1990 Miniseries, it's actually a re-adaptation of Stephen King's original book IT. So while I may reference the miniseries...
Wish Upon is a 2017 American スーパーナチュラル horror film directed によって John R. Leonetti, and starring Joey King, Ki Hong Lee, and Ryan Phillipe. It was released on July 14, 2017.
As a major massive horror fan, I think it's very important that we support the genre. To some people that's exclusive to one sub-genre but to others like me, that means everything. Now, that doesn't mean if you're not interested in something go see it anyway just because ~horror~. But I don't buy into the PG-13 horror is always bad belief that many seem to have. Not every horror movie is made for...
47 Meters Down is a 2017 British survival horror film directed によって Johannes Roberts, and starring Mandy Moore and Claire Holt. It was released on June 16, 2017.
I just got back from seeing this and WOW! All I have to say is wow. Let's just dive (pun intended) right in to my review. This will contain no spoilers.
The film starts out with sisters Lisa (Mandy Moore) and Kate (Claire Holt) on vacation in Mexico. Within 5 minutes, we know that Lisa's deadbeat of a boyfriend Stuart dumped her because she wasn't fun enough for him and he was bored with their...
The Spiral Staircase (1946) Directed によって Robert Siodmak, is a psychological film noir starring Dorothy McGuire as the primary character, Helen. It was adapted from a screenplay によって Mel Dinelli and based on the Ethel Lina White novel 'Some Must Watch'. White also penned the original story that was used for Hitchcock’s film, The Lady Vanishes. The movie is set primarily in a large Victorian house, Helen is a mute servant girl for the elderly bed-ridden Mrs. Warren (Ethel Barrymore). Also living in the mansion are the matriarch’s son Steve (Gordon Olivier), her stepson,...
I have a confession to make: I 愛 horror; movies, books, テレビ shows, it doesn’t matter. I can’t make it through the week without my fix of horror escapism. As a very introspective person, I have often wondered why this is the case; why am I drawn to this specific genre? After a productive pondering session, I think I have come up with four compelling reasons horror is such a well-loved genre (at least to me).
1. It’s edgy. Do あなた remember being an エモ teenager? Wearing skull and crossbone jewelry with punk rock band T-shirts and...
ロスト ハート, 心 (1973) based on a tale によって the marvellous ghost story teller MR James, is one of the Ghost Stories adapted によって the BBC for the Yuletide series, adapted によって Robert Chapman. Filmed on location in Lincolnshire during November, the autumnal scenery and ゴシック Manor House provide a beautifully effective setting for such a spooky ambient tale. The story tells of Stephen Elliott, (Simon Gipps) a young orphan boy sent to stay with his much older cousin, Mr Abney (Joseph O'Conor) who's portrayal is reminiscent of Dr Caligari in his jerking movements and animated expressions. The...
