In this modern day and age we\'ve got young adult film franchises popping up at every corner, so then what is it that makes
You can definitely say that The Scorch Trials is unlike any other book adaptation we’ve seen, mainly cause it is nothing much like the book. Although the original story is still in place, Director, Wes Ball along with Writer, T.S Nowlin have completely changed the story in a way that is more appealing to everyday movie fanatics and not just book lovers. This movie introduces a more complex and intense story line. Wes tried something new with Scorch Trials, he merged both the second and third book in The Maze Runner series by James Dashner together, to form one epic movie.
The Scorch Trials follows the Gladers most perilous adventure yet, venturing out into a world destroyed by sun flares and infested my monstrous creatures called cranks. They encounter new enemies, and new friends, all while escaping WICKED. Just as they think they\'re safe, the Gladers are betrayed by one of their own, which leads to the epic battle towards the end.
All the best films have key elements that make them great. Tons of action, great fight scenes and death defying stunts. The action in this movie is so crazy that it fills you with adrenaline just by watching it.
The element of surprise. It leaves you wondering what is going to happen next and then catches you completely off guard. Even book fans would not be able to predict what happens next in certain parts of the movie.
Plot twists that make you go crazy. Great movies always have those moments that make you go "OMG, I did not see that coming!", Scorch Trials had its fair share.
A hint of romance. Every great story needs a couple (in this case two), that the audience can root for.
An enthralling story line with some drama to it. The movie is so intense that you won’t be able to take your eyes off the screen, because you will be immersed in the story.
Last but not least, an ending that will leave you on the edge of your seat dying for more. I\'d say the movie\'s only flaw, was that there wasn\'t more of it.
The Scorch Trials Movie had every single one of those, and all those elements put together is what made this a truly brilliant movie.
Those special effects, especially the ones used to create the cranks and the Scorch itself were an absolutely amazing spectacle. The sheer magnitude of this movie is incredible, what Wes Ball did, creating a whole new world on such a large scale is what pushed it over the edge.
The stunts were breathtaking. They made it seem so real so that it leaves you completely frozen just waiting to see how it will turn out.
Wes Ball even managed to add a dash of Fast and Furious to the movie.
If there\'s one thing this movie had that put it over the top, it\'s an amazing cast. These actors put so much passion into playing their characters that watching it, you would be transported into the story yourself cause all of their acting is so real and so incredible, each and every single one of their characters was brought to life perfectly. The movie stars Dylan O\'Brien, Ki Hong Lee, Thomas Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Dexter Darden, Rosa Salazar, Giancarlo Esposito, Aidan Gillen and Jacob Lofland.

The leading man Dylan O’Brien was spectacular. Not just while kicking ass in his action scenes, but also his great acting in the parts of the movie with a dramatic flare and the parts that break your heart.
Rosa Salazar gave a completely mind blowing performance. She totally and literally kicked ass! As every Scorch Trials book fan knows, Brenda is one of the characters that has a unique personality, and Rosa nailed it!
Ki Hong Lee and Thomas Sangster who play Newt and Minho were both amazing! These two bring the heart to the movie, their characters are so complicated, but the way they bring them to life, you\'d think that is who they really were.
In this movie we see a whole new side of Teresa, and Kaya Scodelario showed us this with her great performance.
Then comes the two characters that were somewhat of authority figures to the Gladers. Jorge (
Giancarlo Esposito), and Janson (Aidan Gillen). They are both so intense and secretive, and Giancarlo and Aidan did such a great job bringing these two complicated characters to life. They were just plain awesome!
Dexter Darden who played Frypan and Jacob Lofland as Aris for their amazing acting. Also to Alexander Flores for his heart wrenching performance as Winston, especially in one scene in particular, his acting was absolutely brilliant.
The Scorch Trials was a truly brilliant movie, it\'s one of those movies that feels more like an experience rather than just something you\'re watching, right from the start to the finish. The end especially, cause the way Wes Ball ended this movie, he practically guaranteed himself a huge audience for the next as well. The next movie, The Death Cure is set one year after the events of Scorch Trials, so that just adds even more intensity and suspense to it. Waiting for the next movie is going to be torture.A huge, huge round of applause to the entire crew of the Scorch Trials for all they did to make this movie the huge success it is.
The Scorch Trials is so special because it stands on it\'s own as an action film, apart from being just a sequel to The Maze Runner. The Scorch Trials is the Young Adult film that we have been waiting for. It is by far one of the best action films to ever grace the big screen!
