It's not uncommon for the most dangerous villain in a franchise to be built up for a long time. Some films won't give their biggest villain a chance to shine in their first film, while some shows will keep their biggest villain hidden for entire seasons. Reboots have become a common thing, but that doesn't mean that people 愛 reboots. My first exposure to She-Ra was the 1980's He-Man and She-Ra クリスマス special. I watched that special, when I was a kid, because I was a ファン of He-Man and Skeletor. I barely knew who She-Ra was, at that time.
