I believe that Jane Austen was way ahead of her time in a literary sense when 書く her novels, especially "Sense and Sensibility." After 読書 the book and seeing the movie a billion times I have had plenty of opportunities to study and analyze (yes, I'm an analyzer) Elinor, Marianne, and their suitors.

In high school British literature, I chose to do a project on "Sense and Sensibility" and the もっと見る i broke the characters down, the もっと見る I began to see the differences between Elinor and Marianne and see how much they are a representation of realism and romanticism. (Both would later become...

"SENSE AND SENSIBILITY" (2008) Review

The 年 2008 marked the fourth adaptation of Jane Austen’s 1811 novel, "Sense and Sensibility". First aired on the BBC, this three-part miniseries had been adapted によって Andrew Davies and directed によって John Alexander.

"SENSE AND SENSIBILITY" told the story of the two older of three sisters and their financial and romantic travails in early 19th century England. Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, along with their mother and young sister, Margaret; found themselves homeless and in financial straits following the death of their father. Their elder half-brother, John...

"SHIFTING HEIRS AND THE FERRARS ESTATE"

I have been a ファン of Jane Austen's 1811 novel, "Sense and Sensibility" ever since I saw Ang Lee's 1995 adaptation. In fact, the 1995 movie initiated my appreciation of Austen's novel and other works. But there is a certain aspect of Austen's tale that has confused me for years. And it has to do with Edward and Robert Ferrars and their family's fortune.

"Sense and Sensibility" told the story of Elinor and Marianne Dashwood - the older two of three sisters that encountered love, heartache and romantic obstacles when their father's death and half-brother's...

"SENSE AND SENSIBILITY" (1981) Review

Jane Austen's 1811 novel, "Sense and Sensibility" has been a お気に入り with her modern-day fans. The novel has produced at least three テレビ and two movie adaptations and a literary parody. However, this review is about the seven-part, 1981 BBC adaptation.

Directed によって Rodney Bennett and adapted によって Alexander Baron and Denis Constanduros, "SENSE AND SENSIBILITY" starred Irene Richards and Tracey Childs as the two main protagonists - sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood. The story focused on the sisters' attempts to find happiness in the tightly structured...

"SENSE AND SENSIBILITY" (1971) Review

For some reason, I still find it hard to believe that until recently, very few people were aware that the first adaptation of Jane Austen's 1811 novel, "Sense and Sensibility", dated as far back as 1971. After all, people have been aware of other Austen adaptations during this same period または earlier. Even the Wikipedia site fails to mention it, except in connection with one of the cast members. What was about this four-part miniseries that eluded so many Austen fans?

In "SENSE AND SENSIBILITY", a wealthy landowner named Mr. Dashwood dies, leaving his two...

Below is my review of the 1995 version of Jane Austen's 1811 novel, "Sense and Sensibility":

"SENSE AND SENSIBILITY" (1995) Review

The 年 1995 saw the beginning of an onslaught of Britain and the United States’ 愛 affair with British author, Jane Austen. A 愛 affair that has not abated after fourteen (14) years. In 1995, the BBC aired Andrew Davies’ miniseries adaptation of Austen’s most famous novel, ”Pride and Prejudice”. And later that year, Hollywood released its adaptation of another Austen, ”Sense and Sensibility” - which I had just recently watched.

Directed によって Ang...
