What is a famous saying または phrase that has always confused you?

for me it'd probably be "I'll slap あなた into 次 week."

I mean I understand it I just think it's stupid. If あなた slap someone INTO 次 week then that obviously means you'd have knocked him unconscious to the point where he won't wake up till the 次 week. On the other hand if あなた threaten to slap someone TILL 次 week, they would be far もっと見る compliant I'm sure.
