I knew Daniel would die, though it was undeniably sad. However, I kept hoping that Robin wouldn't die and was heartbroken when he died! He was a great character and he had such incredible chemistry with Regina. I would've said she should've slit her heart to save him like Snow did, but that wouldn't work. When David died it was because of his heart being crushed, Robin died from the crystal. It feels like a bad dream! A great episode, but a bad dream!

Same, I think we all knew Dad was gonna die. Like you said, it was still sad but with Robin at least we had hope that he'd live. And then they crushed it. And to make it worse he's just gone gone. Can't even meet up with his wife in the after life...

It was such a sad scene.

Both were really sad but I think something about watching Regina's own mother do it in front of her made it more sad to me.

That's a good point; the fact that her mother killed Dan made that one particularly awful.

And she was younger and it was her first love. I think seeing her more fragile made me feel more fragile for her, if that makes sense? Haha.

That too, she was just so innocent and to have that taken away...that's just disheartening. Not to mention she went from saying that "love is happiness" to "love is sacrifice." As tumblr pointed out; she used to associate love with good feelings and now she associates it with the sadness/feelings that come with losing it.
