Hook is really showing favoritism!!!!!!!!! It's like how they say that Harry Potter was able to stop Lord Voldamort or whatever from killing him but it was really his mother who did all of that work. So really it was his mom who was able to have magic greater than Lord No Nose but she died. So really Harry has done nothing worthy of being considered the chosen one to kill the evil one. Heck, if anyone should defeat him because they're trained I'm surprised it wasn't Hermione (however you spell it) since she's really the only one of the trio with brains and without her Harry and Ron would get no where without her. But I digress!

Yes, Emma did help some but she didn't defeat them! Heck, Regina was the one that saved Henry from dying after Pan took his heart. I'm glad this season they had someone else save the day but they keep on going back to her being this perfect character that no one can defeat and has to always be the one to defeat the great evil. Yes, with magic and being the product of true love she's powerful, she could even become as powerful as Rumple and Regina with some practice, but they really need to stop hitting us over the head with this! She's no responsible for everything good that happens that defeats evil! If they're not careful they'll take this amazing character and turn her into a Harry Potter!

Yes, Regina is the one that defeated Zelena and yes, Rumple was the one that defeated Pan. But I don't think that means he doesn't credit them.

Besides, this would be a writing issue. Not a Hook issue.

Hook is a character played by Colin and Colin was given the line by the writers. Your problem should lie with them.

Don't really care if he was trying to boost her confidence she sort of helped but ultimately could do nothing against either i don't know where he got that from he could've said "you defeated Regina once" or "you helped bring down Pan and Zelena"

He did it because in his eyes she is the true hero and THE SAVIOR and he really wanted to make her stay and not throw her life and her family away. I don't see anything wrong with that. :)

I think it was a writing issue tbh, but Emma should have gotten NO credit for defeating them. Pan was practically away to kill her, and when Zelena was throwing people around she just stood there until she herself got knocked back.

Yep. Emma literally did nothing to stop them, WHEN they got defeated. Of course she worked hard, and "helped" a bit but she didn't defeat them. Like I said, Pan would've killed her after Belle or Neal probably. Zelena knocked her into a haystack and she never got up until Regina stopped her.

Well....to say that it simply bothers me is an understatement.
Hook mate you are remembering wrong & you were there both times!!!!!
The truth is that while I was watching this scene I immediately called bullshit from what Hook was saying.

Sorry but to feed someone with constant lies & false acknowledgment is not the healthier way of confidence boosting especially when you are supposed to love this person.

I just hope one day Emma will wake up & realise that the way Hook pumps up her ego is wrong!

Just because the line he read was less than accurate, doesn't mean Hook constantly feeds her lies. Was that line correct? No, but to say that he constantly feeds her "lies and false acknowledgements" because of it is over-exaggerating.

Although, again, it's a writing issue. The writers gave him that line and it seems that it's the writers that are feeding the whole "Emma is the Savior" thing and not giving enough credit where credit is due.

Yeah I was like "WTF ?!" because yes Emma intended to help stopping Zelena and Pan but she couldn't, she did literally nothing that stopped them or helped stopping them. Now I know Hook was trying to boost her confidence (and probably Emma also knows that) but what bothered me is that Emma always gets the credit and Regina gets nothing

@matchesrulezu That's pretty much how I feel. Writers tend to do that with their main protagonists--make them out to be the hero all the time and give them credit where it's not due. That's just a thing that I've noticed show to show.

dacastinson said exactly what I was going to say so I won't repeat it. I think it's adorable that he has so much confidence in her particularly when she thinks so little of herself. He is such lovesick little puppy.
