The acting (Aside from Zendaya) is amazing, the songs are phenomenal, the energy is exceptional, the visuals are stunning, the singing is good, it has a lot of likable characters, it has Hugh FREAKING Jackman, Zac Efron is in a musical again and sounds the best he's ever sung, it introduced me to Loren Allred (The singing voice of Jenny Lind) and Keala Settle (Both of whom are BRILLIANT singers), and is just an amazing musical.

It has its problems, obviously. Zendaya can't acting, Anne/Zendaya and Phillip/Zac Efron have no chemistry, only two of the "freak" characters have fleshed out personalities (Those being Lettie/The Bearded Lady and Charles Stratton/General Tom Thumb), the writing and pacing is pretty clunky and kind of cluttered, and Anne Wheeler is a boring character that has no character outside of being Phillip's love interest.

It was my third favorite film of 2017, and I saw it four times in theaters.
