Jamie Dornan has signed on to co-star with Rosamund Pike in the Marie Colvin biopic “A Private War.”

“Cartel Land” helmer Matthew Heineman is directing the movie.

The biopic is produced by Thunder Road Pictures’ Basil Iwanyk and Kamala Films’ Marissa McMahon, as well as Denver & Delilah Films. Erica Lee is the executive producer.

Colvin covered major conflicts across the world — from Chechnya to Sri Lanka, where she lost the sight in her left eye in 2001. Colvin died in 2012 during a rocket attack while covering the Siege of Homs in Syria for the U.K.’s Sunday Times

The drama has financing from Riverstone/Ingenious. CAA is repping the rights to the film which will go out to buyers at next weeks American Film Market.

Dornan most recently starred in “Fifty Shades Darker,” where he reprised his role as Christian Grey, and can be seen next in the final installment of the franchise, “Fifty Shades Freed,” which bows this Valentine’s Day. He will also appear in “Robin Hood: Origins,” where he’ll play the title character’s half brother, Will Scarlet.

Dornan has also kept busy on the TV front, appearing in the Netflix drama “The Fall,” as well as the upcoming HBO movie “My Dinner With Herve,” in which he plays a reporter who has a wild night in Los Angeles with “Fantasy Island” actor Hervé Villechaize, portrayed by Peter Dinklage.
