New Game of Thrones 写真 From Last Week’s Filming in Dubrovnik! 

filming that took place last week in the Croatian city. Last Wednesday, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Hafthor Bjornsson arrived on Dubrovnik’s Old Town walls for shooting for one day. Director Jeremy Podeswa and the crew continued without them the next day, with more great photos from the set turning up

reports there were “two more days of filming in various locations in the historic Old City of Dubrovnik, including the stone steps of the Dominican Monastery, interestingly just a few hundred metres away from the new Robin Hood set.”

‘ camera captured images of extras on the set on the city walls, including men dressed as Gold Cloaks (the City Watch of King’s Landing) and another man costumed as one of Cersei’s Queensguard, in that striking new armor!

We can expect to see things slow down quite a bit from now until the new year. Filming has wrapped in Croatia and Spain, and shooting with Kit Harington and other cast members will finish up for the holidays in Northern Ireland this week. Even the khaleesi herself, Emilia Clarke, finally took a break:

We can expect to see shooting resume in 2017 in Belfast. Iceland is still a question mark, as we’ve had no info on the country since November.

So what’s up with the red capes the guys are wearing? Are they just coverings so they won’t get their costumes dirty? And then there’s the dude with a white one thrown over his front. Are we sure these are supposed to be Gold Cloaks? Or maybe just actors from the Robin Hood production drooling over a better show? 😀

The new Queensguard armor is gorgeous. A very quality upgrade.

I disagree. It looks like stage armor, very similar with the style in that movie “First knight” with Sean Connery and Richard Gere, good movie but the costumes drive me nuts!

I like the old Kingsguard armor much better, all versions…

I’m just really sad we won’t get to see Jamie in that gorgeous new Queensguard armour.

Though perhaps it’s for the best – could be too hot to handle.

Question: how do we know that every image of “City Watch” taken out of context is for King’s Landing? Oldtown has its own City Watch in the books. Or would they look different? (i.e. Lannisport also has a City Watch, but they have red cloaks, hence they’re called “the Red Cloaks”).

It’s not a kraken, it’s Cersei’s mothereffing new crown.

I’m curious to see if any other KL landmarks will make it on the show besides the Dragon Pit and Red Keep (now that the Sept of Baelor is no more 😛 ).

Wonder if the Mountain will get new armour as well (am assuming he is LC of Cersei QG?

If he does, obviously he would look great but I personally hope they’ll change his helmet to S1 Tourney edition or the books SRS edition

Seems they like to show his zombie eyes though for visual effect though so that will probably impact the style they adopt

What splendid looking armour! Cersei always sends messages with her gowns, even alert to red v gold at times. But her new queensguard suits of armour are so gorgeous–and discussing them is much less boring than discussing red wigs 🙂

This is one advantage of the visual medium: pictures paint 1000 words, and moving pictures paint 1000s of words. Written descriptions of these sorts of things would take long paragraphs that add little to the story: or they cut to the point by describing the reaction people have to these sorts of things rather than describe the things themselves.

Meh, With creative second guessing, it could hint at something wonderful. Since now is the winter of our discontent, one can only hope.

What we know of the big battles will be Yara and the Sand Snakes against Euron, Dany and the Dothraki ambushing the Lannisters and Jon and co against the White Walkers. We know from this website The Lannisters and Tarly’s take High garden but not sure how much if any of that fight will be shown, this website also has sources that said Casterly Rock will be in next season, we aren’t completely sure what will be filmed there but lot’s of people believe and have theorised that while the Lannisters are busy with High garden Grey Worm and the unsullied will take Casterly Rock for Dany.
