Courtney’s POV: “But I don’t want to be this monster!”I yelled at my sister, Jamie. “Well I don’t care what あなた think! You’re a vampire; I’m a vampire, deal with it!”Jamie yelled back. I rolled my eyes, grabbed my black sweatshirt, and stormed out of the house. I looked up at the sky and saw that it was night as I kept walking down the 通り, ストリート with my hands in my pockets. I’ve been a vampire for about 10 years. Jamie was the one who turned me into this thing. I was 17 years old and Jamie was 18. (Jamie’s ‘boyfriend’ turned her.) Jamie came up in my room with her fangs out then she turned me into a vampire. I’ve hated her ever since.
I came upon a gas station and leaned up against the brick wall. I stayed near the shadows and just watched people go in and out of the store. After a while, something surprised me. I saw a teenage guy pull in to get gas, but then he looked at me. How could he see me? (I was in the dark.) The teenager came up to me and said, “Hey.” The boy was a punk with blue eyes and he looked around my age when I got turned into a vampire. “Hi.”I said. “What’s your name?” he asked. “None of your business.”I said. “Nice name. I’m Duncan. So, what are あなた doing here?”Duncan asked. “I don’t know.”I said. “Well, do あなた have anywhere to go?”he asked. I just realized about going home. I can’t stay here tomorrow; and I most certainly did not want to go ホーム to Jamie. “No.”I said. “I’ve got an apartment, and it has an extra bedroom. Unless あなた have somewhere to be または go.”Duncan said. “You don’t even know my name and you’re letting me stay with you? Okay, I’ll go with you.”I 発言しました and started walking toward the car with him. I got into the passenger シート, 座席 and waited for Duncan to start the car. On the way to Duncan’s apartment, Duncan had the air conditioning on (Which I really didn’t get because it was winter). “I know it’s crazy to have the air conditioning on in winter. But if you’re cold, then I can turn it off.”Duncan 発言しました reaching for the off switch. “I’m fine. あなた can leave it on.”I 発言しました reaching to stop Duncan’s hand. Then our hands touched as I quickly jerked mine back. Duncan out his hands back on the wheel and said, “Your hands are freezing. Are あなた sure you’re not cold?”he said. I didn’t say anything until we got to Duncan’s apartment. When we came to the door, Duncan stood in front of it blocking my way. “We’re not going anywhere until あなた start talking.” Duncan said. “What are you? A cop?”I asked moving him out of the way and going inside. “That’s practically an insult. Why were your hands so cold?”Duncan asked again. I sighed and said, “The air conditioning was on during winter. Why wouldn’t I be cold?”I said. “Good night.”Duncan 発言しました and went into his bedroom and went to sleep. I went into my bedroom for the night and just layed there. The room was dark except for the moonlight shining through the blinds. After an hour, I was dozing in and out of sleep. And a couple 分 after that, I was completely asleep. I know that ヴァンパイア are supposed to sleep during the 日 and sleep all night, but since I haven’t eaten, the energy was practically draining from me. Then I thought of Duncan. I can’t eat him. I’m not a monster, I don’t eat people. I rolled over and looked at the clock. 8:00 a.m. Then I went back to a barely awake sleep. I heard the door open a few 分 later. I saw the shadowy figure through my eyelids. I knew it was Duncan as he was now right beside me. I opened my eyes and saw Duncan just looking at me. I looked at his neck and thought about just taking one bite. “What are あなた doing?”I asked looking at his eyes then back at his neck. “I was going to wake あなた up. あなた look hungry. I’ll make あなた breakfast.”Duncan said. “No thanks. I’ll find someone.”I 発言しました standing up. “What? Find someone? What do あなた mean?”Duncan asked. “There was no way I was gonna explain this one. Like Jamie says, a キッス helps everything.”I thought. Duncan and I were now standing centimeters away from each other. We looked into each other’s eyes and before it, we kissed. Vampire kisses make whoever あなた キッス forget everything. Our lips came apart as I walked away. The キッス only lasted for at least 1 second, so Duncan only forgot what happened in the last 5 minutes. Perfect. I walked into the キッチン as Duncan followed me. “So what were we talking about?”Duncan asked. I walked toward the door as Duncan still followed me. He pinned me against the front door and tried to キッス me again as I turned my head. I could feel Duncan’s breath and I could hear his heartbeat. Duncan was really warm. “Werewolf.” I 発言しました under my breath. “What? How do あなた know what I am?”Duncan asked. Now that I was up close to Duncan’s face. I looked at his eyes, his hair, and his lips. His hair was black with neon green streaks mixed with the rest of his hair. His eyes were the tealest of blue I’ve ever seen. And his lips were perfect. He leaned his head in and started キス my neck. “No, no, no. I can’t.”I 発言しました trying to push him off of me. I didn’t push him too hard but I also didn’t want him to stop. “Now you’re freezing again. Explain.”Duncan said. I could now feeling him breathing on my neck. His hot breath was what made me push him off of me. “What are you?” Duncan 発言しました backing off of me. “A vampire.”I 発言しました and left.
