I get confused as to why people say why Pocahontas isn't a princess, when she is the daughter of a CHIEF. I mean...why do they say she isn't? O_o I can understand as to why people think Mulan isn't a princess, and to me she isn't, but whatever. She was insanely popular enough to get in the lineup. But really, why the hell aren't Meg and Elionwy (spelling?) included? What about Kida and Jane? Heck, Nala can even work in the lineup....she was an animal princess, wasn't she, and became queen by marrying Simba? (correct me if I am wrong on this, please.) I mean, Tiana was an animal for most of her movie, so using the excuse: she is an animal, fails for me. XD posted １年以上前.

The Mulan exception was due to the outrageous popularity of her movie and the need for an Asian princess whistles while waiting for Hispanic princess Meg is technically the wife of a demi-God, since Herc gave up his God status to stay with her. Tarzan is the leader of a group of apes, so I guess Jane was their princess in a way, but not until the very end were her and Tarzan rulers of anything since Kerchak didn't accept Tarzan as his son until seconds before he died. Elionwy's movie was a complete failure at the box office, and Disney tries to forget The Black Cauldron ever happened. Same goes for Kida, except Atlantis didn't fail as badly. And Nala is a queen and a lion from a popular franchise. Disney tries to section off the franchises pretty well, and since TLK is a big one, Nala being a DP would confuse the hell out of them. Oh, and people say Poca's not a princess because to the extent of my knowledge, the Powhatan tribe voted on their leader and Poca would never inherit any power because she's his daughter. She's inherit power because she's an awesome leader. For the Powhatans, before she proved her awesomeness, she was just loved by all, like the kids of whoever is president of the US at a given time. posted １年以上前. last edited １年以上前

I actually like it when Megara, Esmeralda, Kida and other such heroines get mentions on this site. I know they aren't Disney Princesses but I consider them to be... kinda like extra princesses to compare and such to. posted １年以上前.
