What I mean is, that the movie takes place in XIX century and this dress is clearly not charactersistic for that time period. It looks a tad too modern for me.

1) Disney movies don't obey to historical accuracy.
2) It's a dress she made herself without caring about the kingdom's fashion. If she's going to live an isolated life where no one will ever see her, why not dress just like she wants to?
