I always watch the animation and how beautiful it is.

Yeah I vastly prefer what's aesthetically appealing to me, I've majored in CGI animation so it is an important factor. Although I don't usually let one aspect ruin the enjoyment.

They are animated movies, they're supposed to be at least aesthetically appealing. But I still weigh other factors, such as storytelling, music and characters. I forgive Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs for not having top-notch animation, because it is "the one that started it all", thus very experimental.

That's why Is don't really like a lot of Disney sequels, If they aren't aesthetically appealing I feel like I can't really enjoy the movie and get past the fact that the animation is horrible. It makes me quite biased towards the movie unfortunately. Although I won't say I dislike all the movies with bad animation. It just affects how I view the movie most of the time. There are many cases though where the animation isn't the best quality but I can look past that. Robin Hood, The Black Cauldron, and Jungle Book are good examples.

I can't stand to look at CGI. Older CGI looks very dull and clunky. Newer CGI has prettier backgrounds, but the humans look more rubbery and doll-like as time goes on. After my sister pointed out how freakishly huge Rapunzel's, Anna's and Elsa's eyes are (they take up a quarter of their faces, while their noses and mouths are TINY!), I found that all the more unnerving.

Yes, I love paying a close look on the animation in the hand-drawn films! Also I enjoy computer animated films far less.
