Completely and entirely disagree with the assumption that Ariel would even lay her eyes on Smith. Firstly, what attracted her to Eric beyond his looks was his nice/caring nature, nobility and willingess to die in order to rescue his pet Max. How exactly would Smith's misogynistic, narcissistic ways accompanied with literally pointing a loaded gun at her would come off as anywhere near appealing to Ariel?!

Snow White had a tendency to idealize her prince without actually possessing the slightest of knowledge on his personality. Her crush on him was downright shallow and solely based on looks. Whatever flaws Smith might have, she would just simply brush them under the rug because he is hot.
