Guys, if Simon never became the Ice King then it would mean Adventure Time won't have an antagonist. Yes, Simon was preferable but Ice King plays an important role, he even makes the story more interesting. And if he stayed as Simon it won't be long till' his gone (since his human), he wouldn't have found Marceline and possibly the Mushroom War wouldn't have happened..

I want him to have his sanity back

The show would be so different if he stayed as Simon and I'm not sure if he would even be looking at princesses and he probably wouldn't even live in the Ice Kingdom and on top of that would he still have Gunter? there would be so many differences as much as I liked him with his sanity..the show would be different with Simon Petrikov and I think Ice King is a bit more funny than what he was he was human and there would be no main antagonist in the show if there was no Ice King!

for the sake of AT as we know it... it had to happen. :(

If he'd remain as Simon Petrikov, he would have been a Minor Character. I am not meaning I like him as Ice King better.
