It's not because they have a larger fanbase that they're winning. At least one SE ファン has figured out how to hack the site, get around the captcha and automate their votes. I read about how it's done and あなた can get at least 1000 投票 per 時 with each computer あなた set up to do it. If they're reported and Portrait investigates, the person could be banned from the site. Not sure if anyone has thought it worth reporting または not. １年以上前

Apparently an SE ファン 発言しました they did it--at least according to a friend of a SE ファン (Team_tonks talked about it a few days ago, as it was her friend who told her). Actually, it's not hard to prove because every time あなた vote it shows the website your IP address. So if someone is able to vote insanely fast 24 hours a day/7 days a week, then that's a dead give-away. １年以上前
