I think she looks the part. Just glancing at her, she looks like she could be Rob and Kristen's daughter. Not that I'm trying to sound like a creeper or anything haha

Anyways, I think she's cute. :) And even though I don't like BD, I'm getting inevitably excited to see how things turn out :)

well, the article said that "Bill Condon will employ similar digital effects to those used by David Fincher in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, where Foy’s face would be digitally transferred onto the face of a younger child. It’s also probable that the studio will hire a younger child in some capacity, too."

So, no worries.

i am worried though, with the budget that summit gave to the last films can they really pull that off? BB cost $150 million. Summit wont even give half of that. I hate it when they use special effects and it doesn't pull off. All i can think of is Edward's sparkle in twilight. total crap.

Frist, LOL at the error in his name. xD And that would make me extra worried if I actually planned on watching the film, that sounds terrible o_O

x-Sophie-Jade-x: Well, let's lay out all the facts. There is no 3D thank goodness :D 2 movies. She's only in half of the films if following the book plot (I hope that they don't put her in more than she needs to be; emphasize her part without building up to it).

Budget for Eclipse was reportedly 70 mil. Special effects were pretty good in that. I don't really remember too many special effects in BD except maybe the hunt (running), and according to MR's added in "fight" sequence, maybe a little bit of SX there, but nothing extreme. And I don't know if they'd use SX for the birth.... all in all. I don't know how they are going to pull off the movie.. but I am excited to see if they can.

Mackenzie looks younger than 9. But, she has that mature look. So I'm sure they will use that to their advantage. Renesmee changes constantly. So they could add more makeup and less makeup depending on where she is in the age timeline. And, there also has been rumors that they will use a baby actor for the first part. I mean, Renesmee isn't going to look like Mackenzie right out of the womb. Lol

What continues to frustrate me is how much green paper we get from Summit for a budget. It's pathetic. Fans give them a huge amount of money. Yeah, they pay the actors a big percentage of that, but still, some should be left to make the movies the best they can be. But they know it won't matter. Because people will see them anyways.

Katie: Bahaha I didn't even notice that. Lol dang. I hate my typos. Haha

@iluvyajustin um, I'm sorry, but Elle Fanning is like 12 years old. She's very close to being a teenager and she's really tall.

On another note, I love this little girl, and I'm really excited for BD. One of my favorites from the books.

@mandapanda, i agree but looking back at Benjamin Button there isn't really much CGI used in that either other than the character of Benjamin, obviously. There area a few backgrounds and screens etc but i would say that is roughly in proportion to the amount that should, judging from the book anyway, be used in the two movies. And i'm guessing that the budget will be under half what Benjamin Button received.

It's so annoying that a franchise that made what, $1 billion? roughly? from the first two movies, only got $70 million to make the next one. I just don't think they will pull it off, i guess i'm just cynical but i really love the book and don't think summit care enough about the creative side to make great movies. They were lucky with Eclipse that Davis Slade was a good director because that could have turned out terribly too.

I think it's safe to say from interviews with MR that the cut off point for the movies will be the birth scene so Renesmee will be a main character throughout the seconds film.

@x-Sophie-Jade-x, seeing as how you love Breaking Dawn, I can see why you care a lot for it. I must admit, I have lost faith that Summit will visualize the books the way I, and most of the fans, have envisioned them.

Well, Benjamin Button was filmed on a few sound stages. Plus, the CGI actually was a huge part of it. Digital facial reconstruction or altering does take a significant amount of the budget. However, in BB, we saw Brad Pitt at many different stages of his character's life. Whereas, Renesmee instantly changes in the book. One instant she is a baby, the next time she is mentioned, she's 2 or 3.

And I have to say, that the sparkling in Twilight would not have been as bad if there wasn't any sound effects like the wind chimes. However, Catherine was not nearly as qualified for a fantasy genre film such as the Twilight movies. I'm sure if we had David Slade/Chris Weitz direct the Twilight movie, with the same budget Catherine had, I'm sure the content of the movie would have turned out better due to the people they know.

And, maybe Bill Condon has an army of digital facial generating minions. We don't know. But I'm sure he will do the best he can. I had my doubts about the previous directors (Weitz, Slade), but they reassured my fears when they wrote their letter to the fans. Now, I highly respect both of them as directors and people. They took the helm of a very beloved story. And as a director, that should be motivation; all those fans and the thought of disappointing them. That should keep them accountable.

Seeing as how we are way under-funded, which is totally unfair, that's why they chose to film in Louisiana and Vancouver. Louisiana has a cheaper sound stage and those will be interiors. Vancouver is more exteriors and whatnot. As for filming in South America, it still hasn't really been confirmed by Summit, but the sound stages in Louisiana definitely help in terms of saving money. At least we see Summit putting in an effort to saving money, however, I do believe they can provide us more than the amount reported.
