I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Danai Gurira of 'The Walking Dead' on the 'ferocity' of Michonne in season 5 | Inside TV | EW.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Danai Gurira of \'The Walking Dead\' on the \'ferocity\' of Michonne in season 5
Let’s be honest: Michonne’s timing kind of sucks. Just when the loner with the samurai sword starts opening herself up to others and trusting people, she ends up locked in a train car by people who may or may not want to eat her. So, it’s not exactly kumbaya time, is what we’re getting at.

Keeping all that in mind, what kind of Michonne can we expect to see in season 5 (which kicks off Oct. 12 on AMC)? Actress Danai Gurira says that there will be an internal struggle as Michonne will feel pulled in two different directions. “She does yearn for something more stable in life,” Gurira told us while taking a break from posing for her new EW
cover. “She really believes that Carl needs something more stable than where they are and what they have been experiencing, but also she’s very committed to what has to be done. She’s a woman who does what has to be done, so that involves a lot of ferocity.”
According to Gurira, also complicating matters is the fact that she may have no choice but to stand strong and fight when faced against foes both living and undead. “It is a very interesting arc that she is on in terms of how is that going to show itself,” says Gurira. “Is she trying to move away from how much of a warrior she is? But will the world allow that?”
We’ll see how it all shakes out starting on Oct. 12, but click on the video player below to see Gurira’s take on Michonne and get a behind-the-scenes peek at her EW photo shoot.
