Vampire Diaries Season 6 Midseason Premiere — Will Damon Save Elena? 

The Vampire Diaries Season 5, Episode 11 (“Woke Up With a Monster”) shows a worried Damon (Ian Somerhalder) realizing that Elena (Nina Dobrev) is missing. Will Damon save Elena from Kai? TVD showrunner Caroline Dries talked to The Hollywood Reporter about the possibility.

What happens when the fang gang realize Elena is missing? Caroline teases: “It becomes an all-hands on deck situation, for sure. The people who find out about it, definitely, call to arms. And so the question becomes, how do we free Elena from basically the most powerful creature in Mystic Falls, and probably the world … minus, you know, the Originals in New Orleans.”

Er, maybe you should call the Originals in New Orleans? Just a thought. Barring that strategy, we’re sure the

TVDers will think of something. And we’re hoping Elena does her part to free herself. She may be cloaked by Kai’s spell, but that doesn’t mean she can’t send messages to her friends, does it?

Another possible solution may come in Kai’s extension of the cloaking spell. Caroline teased: “In that moment, [Elena] was his only target, but he does like to use that cloaking spell, let\'s put it that way.” Could some of Elena’s friends also fall victim to Kai’s cloaking spell and, if so, might The Cloaked find a way to work together to overthrow Kai?

Worse comes to worse, the captured should try just waiting it out. Kai won’t have magic forever. Even with the immensity of magic that went into the magic-free bubble spell, it will ru out eventually, and then Kai will be magic-less again.
