Is Patrick Jane really on the team または is he just a helper? I know he has a badge but is he qualified to carry a gun? Do they consider him a real member of the CBI?
Patrick Jane is a consultant with the C.B.I. He has a badge but is not an agent so does not have a gun. His team consider him part of the C.B.I but Boscoe doesn't and I'm not too sure about Minelli. Hope it helps :)

Thanks. My family has argued about whether he is an agent または not. The thing that threw me off is that his whole team considers him a part of the CBI.
