Both Idol stars have formally entered the country fray, with McCreery’s single “I 愛あなた This Big” and Alaina’s “Like My Mother Does” out at country radio and on iTunes. “I 愛あなた This Big” made its debut at No. 32 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart, the highest country debut for a new artist’s first single in modern chart history. In spite of that, neither teen sees success as ensured. Both are at the beginning of a process.

McCreery also must work to differentiate himself from baritone-voiced stars such as Chris Young and his own contemporary idol, Josh Turner.

American Idol" champ Scotty McCreery is excited to be hitting the road supporting Brad ペーズリー, ペイズリー in the early part of 2012. But he's going in with his guard up.

Scotty puts songs through the "Mama Crying Test"

Scotty McCreery is finishing his ‘American Idols Live’ tour later this 月 as he preps to release his debut CD ‘Clear As Day’ on October 4th.

Scotty explains that the album will feature some “Rockin songs where they will be loud and upbeat and then some intimate songs…some of them will make あなた cry.” Scotty also explains that one factor in deciding a few of the songs were helped によって his Mom’s reaction.

“Mama cried on a couple of them so we told all the guys to label them, when they sent me songs and demos I would Eメール them back and say….Well it passed the Mama crying test so it must be a good one.”

Scotty is hoping that Mama knows hit songs as he expresses that he hopes the feeling becomes mutual to the fans.

“Hopefully it will have the same effect on あなた guys out there.”

Scotty and the other Idol finalist will complete the ‘Idols Live Tour’ on September 20th with a 表示する in Quezon City, Philippines.

Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina lead the American Idol pack in sales this week, and Friday's Good Morning America appearance should only help their sales going forward. Scotty's Walmart EP sold 17,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, bringing its total to 119,000. This season's 上, ページのトップへ finishers were two of the six Idols in this week's Billboard 200.

American Idol champ Scotty McCreery recently revealed that he'd be covering a Keith Urban song on his new album, but didn't say which one. Until now.
"That's been the big mystery," Scotty acknowledges to CountryWeekly.com. “‘What song is Scotty singing?’”

In 1997, pre-solo success, Keith was a member of trio The Ranch; the band released the single “Walkin’ the Country,” which reached No. 50 on the Billboard country singles chart. Now, Scotty will include the song on his upcoming debut album, Clear as Day, which will be released Oct. 4.

Idol Winner McCreery Bows with nearly 200k, #1 Debut, as Rodney Atkins, Feist, Jack's Mannequin Score 上, ページのトップへ 10 Bows

Scotty McCreery has proven a worthy American Idol winner. Celebrating his 18th birthday last Sunday (10/9), the good ole young boy from a small town in North Carolina debuts at #1 as his first studio effort, Mercury Nashville/19/Interscope’s Clear as Day, sells 198k in its first week.

That’s the most for an American Idol winner since David Cook’s debut sold 280k in Nov. 2008, and the first champ to bow at #1 with his initial release since 秒 season champ Ruben Studdard’s Soulful topped the chart in 2003.
