I've been told SO many times in my lifetime: "OH no! The world is going to end in 1999!" later "The world will end in 2002!" and again.. "The world is going to end in 2006!" And guess what? - Nothing happened those year. Well, of corse SOMETHING happened, but nothing "the-world-will-crash-soon"-like.
So I doubt it will be true this time too...
And well, the Mayan Calender HAD to end SOMEDAY, they couldn't just keep it going on forever.

Okay, so people say the world is going to end in 2012 because the Mayan calendar runs out and it is the most accurate calendar we have but the Mayan 発言しました a new era will begin NOT that the world is going to end.
