Im curious, what are your experiences, stances, and positions towards religion?

I'm curious since I know some of あなた are もっと見る connected to it than あなた talk about, so Im curious how あなた guys connect with religion and how あなた see them, as I am interested in those that dont and what not.

Personally, I think religion is... kind of a nice thing and a horrible thing at the same time so Im kind of neutral to it. Mediated and kept well in check, I see no harm to it, but a lot of the time.... it can get a bit crazy, cultish, and toxic.

I was "raised" Christian and did that whole Sunday church and prayers and worship and 歌う and what not. I dunno if its just my memory issues and me just assuming from the lack I remember of it, または if I just didn't pay attention like I always remembered myself doing, but I only really liked the metaphorical games they had us play and the songs and shit.

I dropped out of weekly church in 2nd grade cos my family jsut got busy with it but my family is relatively religious of sorts. (cont in comments)

My dad is lowkey religious, and my moms an average religious person, maybe a bit もっと見る but nothing too much worth calling out. Shes not one of the type to get TOO into it (as あなた can tell she doesnt go to church) but she is a bit particular about "Gods name in vain" and saying "God gave this/that" which is alright.

Personally, I would LIKE to believe in a religion as having a religion sounds nice and perhaps would give もっと見る of a purpose to life versus the idea of living to disappear into absolute nothingness for eternity (which Im actually 100% alright with XD). I used to be もっと見る interested in being open to a religion but as of late I kind of just accepted the atheist title. Not in the "There is no way there is a God" but rather so rejecting the claim that there is a God. I dont believe in God, but I wouldnt go as far to say there is NO way there is a God and if evidence came to the 表, テーブル to prove it または give me the faith I need, I would, but I really can't get myself to get into religion too much

But yeah those are my two cents on religion. To be entirely honest, 与えられた no harm is being done, I actually would willingly defend religion to a toxic atheist as I would defend atheism to a toxic religious person

Tbh I have a very weird relationship with religion because I follow the Christian faith but I (thanks to my sister) have started practicing aspects of Wicca as well. Like I do the nature/self worshiping aspects of Wicca but I believe in the Christian God. Granted some people say that Wicca isn't a religion so much as a spiritual thing. No less, these two faiths are often pit against each other as ones that can't coexist. So I almost feel like part taking in both is almost contradictory. But even so, here I am...

No less both have helped me with my mental state in some way. Recently my sister walked me through my first full moon ritual; it was very relaxing--we did little nature based crafts and burned some incense and appreciated the beauty of the eclipse. It was very soothing.

My Christian faith is もっと見る important to me though as I do believe in God and I do believe that a prayer または two can help with things that are simply beyond control. This religion (as mentioned) is one of a good many reasons why I stuck things out when I was depressed. I've always felt like my prayers have been answered; partly through my own actions but also through the divine in a sense. For instance with illnesses. If I feel like I'm getting sick I will pray that it isn't server and usually I end up either not getting sick または it's not that bad. Likewise it makes me feel safe. I hate driving so I pray for a 安全, 安全です commute. Again partially my own 安全, 安全です driving keeps me safe. But I feel as though prayer keeps me protected from situations out of my hands (car break downs, contact with other hazardous drivers, etc). I also feel less alone in a sense.
In short both faiths keep me comforted in some ways.

That's my personal relationship with religion.

As far as my worldwide view. I think that it can be used for both good and evil. "The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose. An evil soul producing holy witness Is like a villain with a smiling cheek, a goodly 林檎, アップル rotten at the heart." Is one of my お気に入り 名言・格言 about religion. I feel like no matter which one あなた are talking about there are wholesome people who use it to help others, neutral people who simply follow the religion, and people who twist, use, and abuse it to spread hate.

In other words, religion itself isn't evil または a bad thing. Certain people who bend it to suit their hatred and agendas are evil. On principal I think that religion is mostly good.

Thanks lol. Tbh I feel like they are often put up against one another is because of misconceptions about Wicca. People often confuse it for black magic and sacrifices and such.

well i only know about living in a christian home. where im living now. My grandparents and my mom are strict on who we hang around. We cant hang around transgenders because the are "bad people" which for me i dont see them as bad people. i treat them like everyone else. They are equal to everyone else imo. i dont get why my family hates trans so bad. But then here they are against anyone who is not straight. too bad your raising a bisexual child. oh wait u guys think im straight yet.... well being straight is too much for me. I dont feel right being straight. But gays and people like that they are just like other people. I again still dont understand why i should treat them differently. So i am a christian but i will stand up for gay and trans rights when my family aint around. i tried standing up for trans. all i 発言しました was that trans are like other people.

Well, as a start, I grew up in an Orthodox Christian Family. My Country have always had Religion in a pretty high regard in general. I learned all about キリスト教 as I was being raised either によって my ホーム または at School since Religion happens to be a Subject in it (note that it is not mandatory for those who wish to not take part in it). That being said, I never felt forced towards anything. We have adopted a belief but the majority of people are flexible about it. Anyone who possesses a different kind is free to hold on to it. Did a もっと見る extensive research on each one and I must say that their knowledge ended up fascinating me. Not surprising considering I was already much of a Mythology / History Enthusiast myself. Not gonna lie that I also feel at peace whenever being in a place that is deemed Spiritual (Temples / Churches, Ruins, Graveyards, etc.). I don't really have much to say on that but I simply always felt that kind of Aura in the air. That there's もっと見る floating around than meets the eye surrounding me. Having a wider view of things, I started to ponder about my very own Belief. キリスト教 clearly wasn't the only way yet again, finding a Religion to fully agree and depend upon didn't occured even though some might be closer like Taoism and Buddhism (those being among the Religions I feel myself syncing the most so far). I decided to become an Agnostic. A Theist one at that as I believe in the existence of a God (and the Spiritual World in overall) regardless if Humanity as a whole can't deduce it right now または whether this very idea is exactly what we expect it to be または not. To describe how I see things, all Religions make sense and at the same time, none of them do. I believe they have one Main Source. Them being pieces of a puzzle forming a much larger picture when あなた add the proper pieces together. With that, I also mean that I have taken certain parts from what each Religion has taught me and implemented them in my Lifestyle, Philosophy and view of the World accordingly. For example, Christianity's Teachings about Love, Compassion and Peace are held dear inside me. Implications concerning people who あなた ''should'' associate with または not, how あなた ''should'' dress / behave in a certain way または how あなた ''should'' express yourself just because 発言しました Religion 発言しました so, not really ( I find it plain stupid in fact. No offence towards anyone).I use my very own judgement as I try to arrive on a conclusion of my own. The searching of a definite answer continues !!!!

To conclude with my stance in Religion as a whole, I'll agree that it is possible to do do just as harm as good. It all depends on what we make of it. Religions were recorded によって Humans as a means of uniting them (At least, that was their Original and Main purpose) and they could easily be altered to the convenience of a few または just being plainly misunderstood from the very beginning. Hence why I do not feel inclined to choose one path. Rather, I observe each one, analyze and create my very own. Its destination being the same as the others. That is pretty much the gist of things for me !!!!

Hmm, I basically grew up as an agnostic theist. My parents didn't introduce me to religion, but they are spiritual considering the hymns and lights we have in our house. No church または anything, just live my life I guess lol.

I did grew up with Christian shows, sorta. I just watched whatever was entertaining, mainly PBS Kids since we didn't have cable for most of when I grew up. I got to watch shows like Veggie Tales, Davey and Goliath, and Moral Orel (which I do consider to be Christian, even if its an Adult Swim show, and I really appreciate this show). My experiences with religion is a bit shaky, I did got free Bibles in the past but I threw them away when I read some Atheist materials back then, which I deeply regret now that I am 読書 the Bible right now and I want to learn more.

I will say at least, that I do believe in a religion that isn't a real religion. It's a religion I made for my Keo universe. I guess あなた can call it "Siccijioro Keo". It has three main Gods: Corjaw, Puzurizor, and Durivore. However, every creature has a God. If there was a main God, it would be Corjaw, because he was the one that made everyone else. I'm not going to go deep into it (at least right now), but we basically live in Balkzein. Balk is the human god, who is a dreamer, and we're part of his dream. When we die, we exit out of the dream and we live on in Keo, the real universe. The three main Gods grant wishes for other Gods, so Balk wanted a universe of his own.

Currently, I'm praying to Corjaw and 読書 the Bible. Corjaw doesn't really mind it when I pray to Balk, または read up on Christianity. He's all powerful, he doesn't need us to pray to him lol. He doesn't care if we believe in him. He's just fact, he exists, and he will do whatever godly thing he wants to do. He cares もっと見る about the real universe than a dream, but will reach out if needs be. The もっと見る closer あなた are to mice, the もっと見る closer あなた are to Corjaw. I do know tho, is that Balk doesn't really like it. Regardless, I pray to Corjaw and Balk, I ask them for advice, they will both help me. So far religion is helping me. It keeps my attention to something もっと見る positive and makes me ponder もっと見る interesting topics. Any ills I've encountered with religion has もっと見る to do with the person itself. Its nowhere near bad with my experiences with feminists, the only group consistent with telling me to kill myself. I rather deal with the religious group.

Here's an old drawing of the Keo trio: link

I was brought up with Christian values. Bible classes were a weekly thing in public schools, not even religious schools, they don't exist in those schools anymore as some parents expressed different views.

When I was a teenager I explored religions and decided I was agnostic.

Religion is not important to me. I will respect others beliefs that are not radical. As a whole I'm really neutral about it, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

Being from Tennessee, I grew up in a Baptist, Christian environment. I can recall when I use to have "Bible" as part of my homeschooling, as well as: Math, Science, English & History. And for the most part, it wasn't that bad. I would go to church every Wednesday and Sunday, in Friendsville, TN (where I USE to live). As you'd expect, I grew up believing a lot of the things my family did, tho I do know that even back then... certain aspects of it seemed to never make any sense to me. I've mentioned before that I don't hate Christianity--or any other religion--but there were things that it taught that made me go, "WTF?"

For example, one of the things my (former) church did on occasion was to have us all eat unleavened brand and drink... juice, I think? IDK, but let me explain further. So, the パン was supposed to represent the body of Jesus, and the ジュース was to represent His blood. Essentially, we were instructed to "eat the body and blood of Christ". Not literally, but metaphorically. And even back then, that always gave me an uneasy feeling. As everyone else followed along with this, I (being the rebel I naturally am) DID NOT do the same. I didn't like how they expected us all to do this, considering how I didn't even know what the hell was in it. I'm NOT consuming stuff unless I know it's 安全, 安全です first. I don't care if I sound paranoid or, I'm not doing that.

But that's just one of the things that thru me off, even back then. And being Baptist, they believed in the Trinity: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I mean, it sounds pretty badass, honestly, but that never made sense. How can He be ONE god, yet, exist as 3 separate beings? I mean, hell, I could be taking this out of context--they could be, too. But that just doesn't add up. That または they worship a god with multiple personalities. I honestly don't know.

And that's just some of the stuff my mother taught me, her being heavily religious and all. And then there's the fact that I had outdated gender norms shoved up my ass, constantly. Still do to this day. あなた all know what I mean: Blue= Boy, Pink= Girl.

Because of this, I was taught to fear associating myself with ANYTHING that was seen as "female's only". Surprisingly, tho, I was allowed to watch Anime, such as SAILOR MOON with virtually 0 problems. When it came to shows, and games, it wasn't really bad at all. I was allowed to enjoy many of the 90's icons, such as Power Rangers, Digimon, X-Men, Sailor Moon, DBZ and so on.

So... I mean, as far as my experience goes, it wasn't THAT bad, but it could've been better. As for religion itself: I don't hate it at all, I only really hate EXTREMISM.

While I don't believe in the Biblical God anymore, I still do value the teachings of Jesus. But I'm もっと見る into the logical side of things than anything else (Deism). I also believe that all (non-extreme) religions are equal and deserving of respect (Omnism).
