Why does it hurt you,when あなた hear the truth (even あなた know that your doing wrong) ?

i think it because あなた do not know that it wrong and あなた do not want to tell because あなた don't want to hurt someone

Because people get defensive when they're 芝居 like asshats. It's because they don't want to admit that they're wrong... it's also because they want something to argue about and, stubbornly, they will act righteous about their wrongdoings.

Because some people have lived that way their entire life and あなた go up and tell them that their entire life was a lie.... yea that hurts.

Because one's pride gets in the way of admitting defeat.
