It is very possible for a 魚 to drown...
魚 drown in water the same way humans drown. It just takes longer.

魚 get their oxygen from the water.
And yes, there is oxygen in water. Hence H2O, where the O stands for oxygen.

Say if a 魚 were to be sealed up in a jar of water. The 魚 would use up all the oxyhen in the water and drown.

Your answer is 10 because あなた didn't ask how many 魚 are still alive.
