indeed, i think it's the type of book あなた see no true villain, または at the contrary many minor villains. Scarlett is manipulative, selfish and superficial, but she's got so many qualities too... It's hard to consider her as a villain

Well, i think even is scarlett don't like melanie, she don't consider her as a villainess, または even someone who stand in front of her . because she know melanie isn't aware about scarlett's feelings. She think she's silly and too kind. But we can consider ashley as a "villain" too. He refuse to listen to his ハート, 心 in scarlett's point of view, in rhett's one, he's a man totally unable to decide what he want ...

yes, i agree , scarlett is もっと見る an anti-heroine. She's one of my お気に入り period drama character. All her flaws make her so human, in a way we can understand her, even if we maybe won't act like her.
