The battle was fierce and bloody. The シール had Private pinned against a ウォール of ice. He gave Skipper a look, a certain look that was full of all sorts of indescribable emotions. Skipper looked back at him, as the シール opened its deadly jaws and went in for the kill.

Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private trudged through the snow. The ride to Antarctica went very badly. A snowstorm knocked the penguins off course and caused them to crash their planes. None were badly injured, thankfully, just some scrapes and bruises.
Skipper stopped, looked around, and put on a happy face. He exclaimed, “I know this place! I used to live around here before I was taken to New York! Follow me!” The other penguins followed him blindly. Sure enough, he led them to a cave.
They all entered and everyone but Skipper sat down immediately. He looked around, shocked to find that it was deserted. Kowalski, Rico, and Private mimicked him; there was nothing in sight except some snow that was blown inside.
Skipper saw a small book at towards the back of the cave. He waddled towards it, slowly. When he reached it, he picked it up and examined it closely. When he opened it, pictures fell out. Skipper realized that it was his family’s scrapbook.
A picture slid down to each of the penguins’ feet. They all looked at the pictures silently. Rico had one where Skipper was playing with (what appeared to be) his best childhood friend. Private got one where Skipper was learning to 魚 with his father. A picture of Skipper in the snow for the first time slid to Kowalski. They all smiled happily at the pictures; all except Skipper.
Skipper stared at a picture of himself and his whole family all together. A single tear of loneliness rolled down his face and onto the stone floor. He sniffed, but when he turned around, all sadness was gone.
The other penguins asked about the pictures where Skipper responded that his best friend was Daniel. That was it. He took the pictures back and put them in the scrapbook. Skipper had Rico 飲み込む it for safe-keeping. They soon had ディナー and immediately fell asleep.

The 次 morning, the penguins woke up to find that Skipper was not in the cave. They looked all around, but no sign of him.
“Look!” Rico yelled and pointed to the horizon. All of them looked in that direction to see Skipper reminiscing around an ice block. Kowalski led them to where he was, and when they caught up to Skipper, he was looking at drawings carved into the ウォール of ice.
“Skipper?” Kowalski asked sympathetically. Skipper turned around, and replied, “Oh こんにちは men. Nice morning, isn’t it?”
All murmured in agreement. Skipper turned back to the ice wall. He rubbed his flipper over the indentions and remembered:
“Over here, Dan! This is perfect!” Skipper yelled to his best companion. Danny hurried over on his small feet to Skipper.
“This is a really good spot! Nice eye, Skip!” Danny replied happily. His eyes wandered over to a pair of sharp icicles that have fallen. He went over, picked them up, and gave one to Skipper, leaving one for himself.
They began drawing all of their “adventures” on the ice block the rest of the day, until they had to go their separate ways for dinner.
“Bye Skip! See あなた tomorrow!” Danny yelled as he ran towards his home.
Skipper waved goodbye and shouted back, “Bye Dan!” as he himself waddled to his own family cave.
Skipper sighed, remembering all of the good times he had with Danny. He smiled when the memory of pranking Danny’s older sister, having their epic snowball wars, and laughing together.
They all were startled when they heard a growl behind them. The rookery turned around to see something that they have been dreading:
a leopard seal.
