She's basically saying that although her life now is repetitive and occasionally boring, there's worse stuff - like the Hunger Games and fighting in the Rebellion.

Exactly. And besides, Gale was far to filled with hate if あなた ask me. Katniss already has enough of that, and she needs someone to balance her out. Peeta does that beautifully!
