it does sound like that..i don't know if あなた told your mom not to tell to your dad, but if あなた didn't, it's very much possible that she told him. But i really think あなた should ask him. i mean, あなた already came out to your mom, he'll probably find out sooner または later. i hope things will go well:)

So, if your father is もっと見る of someone who is straightforward, it might mean he doesn't know but your mom 発言しました something, that led to your father being considerate without completely knowing you're a lesbian. または if he's uncomfortable with talking about sexuality, then he just found words that might be very sweet and reassuring, without directly talking about sexuality at hand.
