I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Game of Thrones casting in Malpartida brings fresh news! | Watchers on the ウォール | A Game of Thrones Community for Breaking News, Casting, and Commentary
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Extras casting in Spain kicked off yesterday in Malpartida, Cáceres, with as many as 8,000 people showing up for the coveted spots in
reports that some applicants even spent the night waiting in line with friends, with some people lined up since mid-afternoon the day before.
ModExpor International stated in their initial casting call that only 2400 men and 600 women will make the cut in the first day and receive an invitation for further screening. Today, ModExpor is continuing their screenings for men, according to their  Facebook. Ultimately, only 450 people from the Cáceres region will have the opportunity to become extras in the new season.
has details on the process with a few season 7 spoilers, as friends of the site personally went through the process in hopes of becoming extras.
As they explain, the candidates are examined to see if they pass the basic requirements asked for in the casting notice we saw: no visible tattoos, no modern hairstyles, etc. Some of the extras were asked if they’d be willing to shave their heads as well as their beard. After this preliminary stage, the would-be extras are measured and fill out the paperwork, hoping they’ll be chosen for the final round.
Their report has solidified some of our suspicions, with their newest spoilers concerning Spain filming. The filming in Los Barruecos of Malpartida will be a battle in which the Unsullied take part. They’ve also learned that HBO’s people have been searching for a large number of horses to use in these action scenes in Malpartida. Horses points toward the Dothraki, though it is possible at this point that the horses will be used in Cáceres city, as well.
If the reports are all correct, we could be seeing a huge battle with the Unsullied and the Dothraki taking on an enemy. I’m wondering if this battle is connected to the one we reported on September 8th, being filmed on studio sets last week. If they’re separate, well we’re in for another action-packed season!

Another battle? 😱 Oh maaaaan the hype is real!
Dothraki in KL? I’d be down with that battle.
Here’s a question: I was re-watching the second TOJ scene. Ned runs into the bedroom and leans Arthur Dayne’s sword against the footboard of the bed. The camera lingers long enough to show the Morning star on the hilt(?). Whatever happened to that sword? Did Ned take it back to Winterfell? Does Howland Reed have it? There’s another White Walker killing sword that seems to have gone missing. My thinking is, it’s going to turn up, or the long lingering shot wouldn’t have happened. Any thoughts?
Dany’s army invade King’s Landing and Cersei will blow up the whole city now with wildfire. Dany’s whole army will be destroyed. Only her dragons remain. After that she, Tyrion and a few remained character goes to the North to save Jon’s and his northener army’s ass. She destroys all the White Walkers and their army. And the last episode = the marriage between them. Of course meanwhile this, Jon’s true identity will revealed, but he stays Snow for ever. End of story.
It could definitely turn up again, but I think it was to give homage to the prophecy, that “The Prince that was Promised would be born under a bleeding star …”
Ned goes to Starfall ( Daynes’ castle) to returns the sword to his family, his sister Ashara.
On the show, we don’t know yet. The show will probably focus on it only if it turns out to be important.
Given that Cersei has already used wildfire to blow up the Great Sept, there’s no way Dany would be unaware of the threat (also, they retconned that Tyrion knows about it from Jaime). I can’t imagine she’d commit all her soldiers like that.
Cersei will probably burn the rest of the city with wildfire but I kinda hope thats before Dany and her army arrive. Tyrion knows Cersei has wildfire, so I don’t think they’d approach the city without having that as a real concern.
every single person in that photo has a modern hairstyle
When viewing articles on iphone I get 2 picture ads in the middle of the text and one sticky banner below with an x at the corner. Does everyone have that or do I have some virus. Very annoying because when the page is loading everything keeps shifting and I end up clicking ads.
I have the same problem too and I have an Android phone.
It’s very irritating as everytime I try to click on the cross, I end up clicking on the ad.
Good but there is hardly going to be any fighting if it is KL..because cersei will blow it up when she learns dany is marching ..
Maybe this could be the scene which D&D talked about ..
The prophecy does not speak about that at all..it speaks about pulling lightbringer from fire or waking dragons out of stone under the bleeding star..
And even then jon didnt born under bleeding star…lyanna died under bleeding star.
Here’s a question: I was re-watching the second TOJ scene. Ned runs into the bedroom and leans Arthur Dayne’s sword against the footboard of the bed. That sword, Dawn, isn’t Valyrian steel though and other than being said to be similarly strong it’s not known if it has any special properties against them. It was forged from the metal of a fallen star. Ned supposedly returning it to House Dayne in the books is a bit of a side note. It may become important or possibly D&D just focused on it as a fan service.
If that’s legitimate (open question), I would guess it’s Euron (or an emissary) showing up.
Requirement to shave heads and beards definitely screams Unsullied – looking forward to seeing them AND Dothraki in combat together. We got a little taste of the Dothraki in battle in 609 with the Battle of Meereen, and I’m excited to see them team up with the Unsullied.
Thinking back to that batch of casting calls from a few weeks ago, I am sure that there was a part that sounded a bit like a Dothraki military leader – maybe that will be linked into this battle?
If this is true, then we are not done with Meereen or Daario *sigh*
In the books, Ned takes it back to Starfall, which is the Dayne house. The lingering shot of Dawn has to do with the Azor Ahai prophecy
Oh OK … getting my prophecies mixed up … thanks for the clarification!!
Haha everyone don’t panic! Maybe (and hopefully) it’s not true. Or it could be just one or two scenes.
What do you mean they rectonned it?When did they say that Tyrion didn’t know about it?
Most obviously, if Tyrion knew about all that wildfire, why didn’t he use it at the Blackwater? And in Season 2 he was rather obviously surprised at the existence of so much wildfire in KL, so much that it prompted him to devise a new strategy using them. And, of course, if he knew about all the wildfire, why didn’t he do anything about it?
You are right. Both Marwyn and Maester Aemon speak of the tptwp prophecy “born amidst salt and smoke beneath a bleeding star” There was no salt and smoke on the show during Jon’s birth though. You could say the salt came from Lyanna’s tears, there was no smoke though.
But we don’t know how much of the prophecy from the books will make it to the show, whether salt, smoke, bleeding stars will matter at all. The show has seriously downplayed that aspect so far.
Well most obvious explanation is Jaime told him after he came back to King’s Landing in season 4.They were close during that time and he had already told one person so found it easier to open up.
I’d still call it a retcon, as nothing indicated Jaime was telling anybody about it at the time. I’m not saying it’s a big deal or anything, that just it’s something the writers came up with because they wanted to have the story of the wildfire restated before Cersei actually used it.
I think that by “modern hairstyles” they mean mohawks, mullets and the like.
Okay to me that’s not a recton. The writers may have had that reason but it still has a possible explanation in universe
Speaking of prophecy, I wonder why no one here has consider this line from book as sign of bleeding star:
“A storm of rose petals blew across a blood-streaked sky, as blue as the eyes of death.”
That’s from Ned’s pov when he was thinking of Lyanna dying.
It’s only in the book tho. But we got Dawn being shot near Lyanna’s bed on the show. I don’t think it has the same meaning, but…whatever 😁
Perhaps this video is from last year? I really can’t see them devoting any screentime to Daario/ Essos with so little time left. Also can’t see them keeping the set intact as they ripped the Baelor Sept to pieces before they’d even finished shooting S6 (which was hard to watch- I loved that set!)
Jon is tptwp born amidst salt and smoke. When he was ressurected Davos “Sea”worth was in the room (salt) and Melisandre placed bits of his hair into the fire and we saw smoke. The camera lingered on the flame in order to show us the smoke.
I am assuming Dany’s ships are destroyed by Euron so this is the final battle where she attempts to take kings landing by foot and dragon but surely Cersei is going to hit back with wildfire and decimate a lot of Dany’s forces.
that’s a shot from season 4. you can google and find the same picture. right down to dany on the balcony in the blue dress.
we can all breath now. i want to be so very done with meereen, also.
If you click on the link you’ll see some other allegedly new pictures. I don’t know if it’s legit but the source seems serious enough.
Maybe they rebuilt the set recently? I really hope this source is wrong…
Bleeding star – Dawn coated with Dayne’s blood (sword made of a falling star + The Sword of the Morning)
The tears came from fans who waited 20 years for R+L=J
The smoke from my house because I left some pastries in the oven too long when the episode was airing.
Multiple people from House Dayne in the novels state that Ned returned the sword to their castle-seat at Starfall.
Meereen again, seriously? I hope those are old pics. Meereen/Daario is worse than the SS at this point.
Though might be excessive, I can imagine the presumable decimation of Dany’s fleet having some unwanted consequences in the Dragons’ Bay too – Daario may decide to ally with the former masters and proclaim himself King of Meereen or similar. If they decide to show it on screen, so be it.
Holy shit, Dothraki and Unsullied invading KL will be so badass.
I didn’t know that. A bit disappointing though because I’m using Chrome and it doesn’t support it on IOS
A friend of mine almost got cast as a Dothraki. He has long hair and beard, and is reasonaly fit, but he was rejected because he has a tattoo that was visible bare-chested. The casting guy said it was a pity as he was perfect for a Dothraki.
Jon is tptwp born amidst salt and smoke. When he was resurrected, Davos “Sea”worth was in the room (salt), and Melisandre placed bits of his hair into the fire and we saw smoke. The camera lingered on the flame in order to show us the smoke.
Looking at the pictures of Los Barruecos it looks like a battle on relatively open terrain, so it could be in the Stormlands or the Reach.
I don’t see what the point of a battle in Dorne would be, unless the Lannisters have already taken it.
But it doesn’t sound a particularly productive use of the remaining screen time to have Daenerys’ army reclaiming her allies’ lost territory rather than claiming new territory of her own.
forgot about that. What got me thinking about is was watching Sam take “his sword” with him to Oldtown. Wonder where it is now?
