Dinklage arrives in Belfast for season 7 filming 

You know we’re in filming season because sightings of the cast and those ubiquitous pink GOT sign are coming every day now!

Yesterday in our roundup, Lena Headey, Aidan Gillen, John Bradley, Conleth Hill, Ellie Kendrick and the Mountain himself, Hafþór Björnsson were spotted in Belfast. Now, nearing the end of the first week of filming, Peter Dinklage finally joins the fray. The actor was spotted this morning at the Belfast airport:

It looks like Gemma Whelan has arrived as well- her and Lena Headey ran into one another at the airport today. Given the conversation, it sounds like Headey is already headed out of Belfast- but interestingly, this was the first time these actresses have met!

In other sightings news, IrishThrones has shared a pink-sign sighting, indicating filming (or filming very soon to come) near Corbet-Banbridge. Last week, they also reported of work happening out in Corbet, a location that last year served as the site for Riverrun.

One last item today: in the season finale, it was left up in the air whether or not we’d be seeing Daenerys’ lover Daario Naharis again anytime soon, as she left him behind in Meereen. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Daario portrayer Michiel Huisman addresses the question- sort of.

When asked by ET if he knew if he’d be returning the show, the actor responded evasively, saying “Yes I do, and I’m not supposed to spoil that.”

Make of that what you will, but it’s a slightly suspicious response.

Discussing the series in general, Huisman says, “Being part of

you’re always expecting your character to die…You’re not mentally preparing yourself for a very long haul.”

Oh so he comes back then. Some on YouTube have speculated that he’s going to join forces with Euron out of bitterness after Dany “broke up” with him, but I don’t buy it.

I think he’s just going to grab a boat out of meereen and follow Dany and she’ll probably be impressed as hell. Then he’ll die in her first battle in Westeros. Jorah will rejoice.

I truly think we are done with Daario but who knows really.If Peter is there Emilia must be going soon.

I could do without any more Daario. If he leaves Dragon’s Bay then he’s not doing what Daenerys tasked him with. That certainly doesn’t seem like an action that would please her. Maybe he’ll just take off by himself and find Jorah…

I’m not sure that I buy it either – perhaps he comes back for a short scene or two and we get to see Meereen briefly after Daenerys’s departure (and perhaps Daario’s death?).

If he’s back, I hope he’s naked. Will never get over that scene from Season 4, damn! #justsayin

So, I’m guessing we should see Emilia soon too. I don’t see what purpose Daario would have.

It seems Daario will follow Dany or rebel against her ? And Jaqen will follow Arya or go after her or show up at the Citadel ? Is Michael spoiling us or trolling ?

Yes! I was lamenting yesterday that Dinklage still hadn’t been spotted. Now I await news of Emilia’s and Kit’s arrival.

I adore Meera, so I’m glad to hear Ellie Kendrick is in Belfast. I hope she has an expanded role in S7 since the cast is now vastly reduced.

I’m surprised they’ve never met. I thought all the main and supporting actors were require to be all table reads before filming. I’d have thought Lena and Gemma would have run into each other at one of those. Unless they are divided into groups of actors who’ll be filming together? *knows little and less about table reads*

The U.K.’s Daily Express is reporting she and her people are in talks with GOT people about appearing as a guest role in season 7.

If she turns up as the Mountain I intend to take full credit for giving D&D the idea 😀

Meanwhile for anyone who likes to get really excited about TWOW only to have their hopes smashed to pieces, some people on Reddit have found what seem to be placeholders for it on Amazon France. It’s too long to go into the evidence they’ve found (a fair bit to be honest) but the long and short of it is some people have now convinced themselves it’s due out on 9 March 2017. Check it out if you fancy some top quality tinfoil 🙂 Oh yeah and if that turns out to be correct too, I’m changing my name to Claire Voyant and running out to buy lottery tickets 😀
