Burrows hit the milestone 1,000 mark last November when he directed an episode of NBC’s midseason comedy

The star-studded special is slated to tape later this month in Los Angeles and air on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 9/8c.

It has been around 21 years since the show premiered, but only around 11 years since it ended. A 20 year reunion is still a while away.

At first, I thought this was something different, and thought … “NBC trying to relive the glory days…Next up, ER reunion!! (umm the ER docs come to Chicago Med? I could use more Goran Visnjicon my TV!!)

My gut told me that the headline was misleading. Then I thought “Well, it happened with the X-Files. It happened with Full House. It happened with Gilmore Girls…” So I clicked.

A bit misleading, but good for James. A really great director!

I think it’s nice that the cast of Friends will reunite to help honor James Burrows

Thanks for the info, but it doesn’t sound like anything great. I was hoping to see a glimpse into what the characters were up to now. Maybe gathering for Emma’s 16th birthday.

Kind of disappointed for moment I thought it was going to be a Friends movie.

I hope that the special have scenes with the characters, not just the actors recalling moments with director.

Please go away, Friends. You weren’t all that great of a show. I understand that Chandler and Ross are unemployable as actors, but please don’t give them any more publicity that they do not deserve. Will & Grace was a very funny show.
