Okay. Roz is Frasier's Producer, but, in one episode, She had admitted to sleeping with him (I didn't see that episode). Somebody asked Her in an incredulous way, "You slept with Your boss"? But, I thought The Producer was the boss, which is what Roz
The producer doesn't work if the 'star' doesn't work, just like if advisor doesn't work if the king doesn't work. If that doesn't make sense, I'm sorry, it sounded right in my head!
Although Roz is the producer, she isn't the boss. Frasier is her boss, and obviously has power over her as あなた can see in some episodes where he makes her call in. I can see how this would be extremely confusing, so I hope I cleared this up for you.
